Not exactly a suggestion for stuff to be included in release,
more like fun stuff to put together for 3rd party mission makers.

I'm no PTO buff, so the things that come to mind are:

- Pearl Harbor.

- Battle of Midway, torpedo or dive bombing

- Yamamoto intercept

- The great Marianas turkey shoot

And there's one which I read about in a magazine once, I can dig it up if wanted. There was some guy in (IIRC) an Invader who took off alone at night (mission was his own suggestion) and attacked a Japanese base with bombs and incendiaries. Took them completely bu surprise and earned him (again IIRC) a Silver Star.

Any others?

27 November, 12 zeros from Navy 252nd kokutai from iwo jima atack isley fiel b29s, strafing several on the ground and then one of the japanse pilots landed on the runway and came out wiht his pistol and started to fight vs the ground personel by him self, so my request will be, can we have an option to get out of the plane wiht a gun on hand, and then it would become a first person shooter game? (ofcurse the japanese was killed afther a while)

Well if Pearl Harbour is going to be included, and I cannot see how it would not be.
Then the destruction of Force Z would be there as well, our first Combat Mission in the flyable Betty bomber.
High altitude bombing or Torpedoe runs at the British Capitol ships, HMS Prince of Wales, and HMS Repulse, and no RAF fighters around.
The Repulse lasted the longest before they sunk her as well.

The morning of February 19th, 1942, Java.
50+ Allied aircraft engaged 20+ A6M Zeros, of which one was flown by the Japanese ace Saburo Sakai.
I believe the Allied flight consisted of Dutch, Australian and British fighters, and maybe other Allied nations. Aircraft types were Buffalos, P-36s and P-40s.

Lots of great raids/battles to model. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

a) 10.00am, Thursday 19 February, 1942. The first Japanese raid on Darwin, Australia. In all there were 115 raids on Darwin from 19 February 1942 until 12 November 1943.

b)22 March 1942. The newly arrived 75 Squadron RAAF attack Lae in a ground strafe, claiming 10 Zero's destroyed and 5 more damaged.

c) 7 August 1942. A force of G4M Betty bombers, escorted by Zero's of the Tainan Kokutai raid the USN landing force at Guadalcanal. Dogfights occur between the Zero's and defending F4F Wildcats.

d) 5 November, 1943. 96 aicraft of Admiral Shermans two carrier taskforce (Saratoga and Independence) make a surprise raid on rabaul harbour and caused considerable damage; claiming 25 enemy aircraft shot down, and damaging six crusiers and four destroyers. On 11 November a five carrier taskforce returned to Rabaul to carry out a repreat of the 5 November raid. pickings were slim but base and harbour installation swere left in ruins.

Rest assured, if this thing runs on my computer decently, there are TONS of amazing "historical" missions out there. This was from CFS2, and I stopped making them, because of crappy computer. I would like to do the entire flying tigers set, (from Dan Fords book).Lots of Wildcat stuff, etc...:

On August 30, Ken Walsh fought an incredible battle against '50' Japanese aircraft, shooting down four enemy fighters before he had to ditch his damaged Corsair. Assigned to escort bombers headed for Jap bases on Bougainville, his plane soon developed engine problems. He landed at an advanced base at Munda, and immediately secured a replacement Corsair. He continued on, now alone... http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Battle of Bismarck sea

American B-25 medium bombers together with Beaufighters of 30 Squadron, RAAF, based at Port Moresby (also some A20, B17 and escort) attacked and destroyed all japaneeses naval convoy.

But i bet this mission will find its place in game so there is no need to model it by 3rd party

Ya know, if the developers just supply us with the maps, ships, planes, etc. there's no reason why we the users can't build all the missions WE want..........ourselves.

Can't expect those guys to do everything now can we?

I think one of the best things about Pacific fighters guys, is the fact that the Sim covers Japans involment in WW2
A true Naval Power, the only Axis partner of the War, capable of taking on Britain and America in naval sea and air power.

What a spectacular opening to the Pacific war as well, disabling the American Fleet at Pearl harbour and sinking the British capitol ships off the coast of Maylaya only days later.

I'm a little worry about the Pearl Harbor mission, will ships fire AAGuns to you?

-If they shot at you... OMG! that means 8 Tirpitz is down here and of course many other ship! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif It could be a mission impossible.....(Could try in FB)

That's a good question. If the ships activity can be set to ignore the attacking planes, we could set most of them to ignore with onlt part of them engaging.

Another thing also, for flying for the American side, there should be some AA firing on the friendlies. Guys on the ground were in a panic and were shooting at anything that was airborne, including their own planes. Several of teh CV6 planes were shot down before they could land, and later shot at when they took off again to search for enemy ships.

9/4/42: The attack to Tricomanlee (Ceylon) for zeros, kates(bomber)and eventually hurricanes + the sinking of HMS Hermes and HMAS Vampire for vals.

7-8/5/42: The battle of Coral Sea.

26/10/42: The battle of Santa Cruz.

25/10/44: The battle of cape Engano (it will be very amazing the possibility to fly the few japanese aircrafts on the bait carriers).

Howabout the mission that made Edward "Butch" O'Hare win the COngressional Medal of Honor?

The February 1, 1942 raids on the Marshalls and Gilberts. This was really the first US carrier offensive operation, and the Japanese fought back with A5M4 Claudes.

Carriers involved were the Enterprise and Yorktown. Small number of planes. Small islands. Should be easily modelled.

CFS2 had its faults, but it also had some good historical single player missions. I particularly liked the sortie where you flew a Grumman F4F as Butch O'Hare attempting to down 5 Bettys in the Battle of the Coral Sea. There were other good missions as Pappy Boyington flying a Corsair or (I think) Tommy McGuire flying a P-38 Lightning. Something along these lines might be good for PF.

We have already created a series of 10 Historical Pacific Missions in FB Aces.
Below is a URL look for Empire of the Sun!
There is also a Pacific Skin pack to down load at Net wings for this series of Missions in their Skin Down loads area
