eu maybe this is a bug maybe not but how do you set the gunsigth up? at the beginning it claps to the side. Bug or not?

I don't think it's a bug,but I be damned if I can figure out how to use it. I'm beginning to think it's just there for looks.....

That's the iron sight. It was there in case of bulb failure in the standard reflector sight (light bulbs burn out, as we all know). Light bulb failure is not modelled in FB (thank god, I change enough light bulbs in real life), so there is really no use for the ironsight. If you put it up, it would just superimpose on the reflector sight and ruin your view (like in the I-153).

I think IL2 FB designers just want to "animate" the back-up system beeing pushed to the side

the only thing that surprised me about the gunsight of the zero is the look of the reticule.
The gunsight of the zero being a Revi constructed under license, I expected to see something more like the German fighters (even if the . The look of the reticle is more like a french one to me, or the kind of reticule inside the telescopic sight of the Nate, Claude, early Ki-43 and Ki-44 (which was black rather than luminescent).
