Hello Oleg and Developers of FB/AEP
I know we will have a desert map with one of the next patches.
As you know for sure, it is very hot in the african desert. So we the Pilots need protection.
I found this secret german weapon:

http://www.wiswedel.de/promo/Forum/Umbrella.jpg
http://www.wiswedel.de/promo/Forum/trop.jpg
As you see and read: it was a standart special feature for this planes by messerschmitt factory.
So please Oleg give us Shadow in the desert.

http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Probably this umbrella will be the reason for bad fm from time to time...

Exampel:

somewhere in the desert. Pilot is sitting in his cockpit and waiting for some activity.

http://www.wiswedel.de/promo/Forum/Umbrella1.jpg

One hour later, on the way to target (mechanic forgot to remove the umbrella)

I think we need a new hotkey assignment:

Deploy the Shade Umbrella - Alt-U

To corto.m: Maybe it is good that Maddox is not reading in the forum right now. About your phrase "Very important feature" -- you are trashing space on the forum. It's not an insult, sorry, but you shouldn't post such things like this

I'd say this is extremely important.

I mean, it's an umbrella for a Bf-109.

Sure, its only for a limited number of tropical Bf-109s, and doesn't apply at all to this game, but that doesn't mean it woulnd't be a worthwhile and important (not to mention cool) addition to FB.

Relax, let the old sense of humor kick in. I bet Mr. Maddox would get a chuckle out of the umbrella deployment suggestion. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

@Harh
dont take it to serious because it is just a game...
BTW: I hope that Oleg read this and laugh about...

Thing is...Oleg Maddox, by his posts here on the forum, has a wicked sense of humor. I'm sure he likes stumbling apon these threads. People with a sense of humor...

Ice has a valid point Oleg has a great sense of humor. Remeber that comment he made on that Spitfire book someone posted data from? Oleg told em to throw it out or something. Was funny as hell...

Besides I bet its nice for him to see some humor posted here once in a while, compared to the bazillion fix this, or this is modeled wrong, etc threads we generaly see here.

Exactly.... I mean we need to model the cool cockpit the pilot has due to his brolly...... clearly an advantage IMO.

Btw, hilarious sig you got there Fennec http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

"As weaponry, both were good, but in far different ways from each other. In a nutshell, I describe it this way: if the FW 190 was a sabre, the 109 was a florett, or foil, like that used in the precision art of fencing." - Gunther Rall

I thought in the early hours of the morning the German mechanics would sneak out of their tents and place towels on top of the canopies. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

I bet this joke is lost on most of you.

Damn, a 109F-6/U would rock http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. 5 guns, no pods, a cigar holder... and there were as many as I-185M-71 http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

LOL! Good one CORTO.M!! I hope we get this feature! Hey why not, we got dust clouds during rain showers, why not an umbrella? Did the factory provide a picnic basket to go with it? http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

If the umbrella is made from the same material as the camouflage nets, this could be a major advantage! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/88.gif

What! They had no conditioned air? And now you'll say they had no radiocassette...

But, seriously, we need the filter for air intake in the tropicalised versions of 109s, Spits and Hurris...
