I hooked my laptop up to our 53" projection TV and booted up IL-2;AEP. Too cool, especially in
w i d e s c r e e n http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Definitely a different type of play to get used too. Surprisingly the graphics weren't degraded too much. The range icons were a bit hard to make out but it wasn't that big of a deal.

I couldn't get the sound to work on the home entertainment system since I only used the RCA video out port but the visuals were stunning none the less. Still, having gunfire and explosions coming from the subwoofer and surrouns speakers would be cool. not to mention the engine sounds.

The big screen does make for great playback of tracks and IL-2 movies. Scragbat's films look way cool. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

Any one else try this?

I've been doing this for months, actually - bought an Epson projector and placed it on the hutch above my computer desk facing the wall behind me - even built a switchbox with parts from Radio Shack to reverse/flip the sound in my surround-sound speaker system so it comes out of the correct speakers when I turn around in my swivel chair to face the back wall.

Voila! a 100" diagonal screen "TV" on which to play this great game - it is AWESOME - now just want to work on putting my joystick, trackball, mini-keyboard and rudder pedals into some kind of roll-away cart/cockpit thing (I just set the first 3 on a board that I place across my lap at this point) to make it easier to deal with all of the wires and stuff so I can turn around and fly with less hassle

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!

I have FB running on my projector, looks very well, but i don't have any pics of FB to hand, sorry, so Lomac will have to suffice, to give an impression of the size. FB on hyperlobby has never been so much fun (don't need labels any more http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif )
