Sir, thanks for looking
As a Movie Maker and Mission Builder i've noticed Flak will fire on opposing aircraft UNTIL a friendly fighter gets close then all Flak stops shooting - i've read accounts of both actions - from bombers that say they knew the fighters were comming because the Flak stopped and from fighters who say they feared thier own Flak as much as the Bombers guns

is this intentional or is the a glitch that can be adjusted

thanks for a wonderful game and double thanks for the continual free additions

Depends on coordination between flak units and interceptor units. I believe early Soviet flak often shot down friendly planes until they got their stuff together coordinated with interceptor units. I was reading something about this. Either way is fine for me. Or both even. Would be nice to have this behavior be an Option so you could sim either way as happened both ways.

Is that why flak sometimes isn't shooting at targets?

Interestng...

There's plenty of documentation of Allied AA units downing Allied aircraft so its not uncomon for them not to know who was coming and start shooting.
