It's been a long time since I played AC:II, I can't remember much about it other than it had the best storyline and music of the entire series thus far. ^_^

But what I was wondering was, what was Ezio doing in AC:II? Because in AC:B he was avenging Mario by hunting down Cesare and getting involved with a load of other events, AC:R was searching for the Memory Seals to open Altair's tomb, but in AC:II, he was doing what..?

Can you confirm if I'm right here:

Ezio was avenging his father and brothers, killing off the Templar circle in Italy. He did this solo, finishing what his father started, and he was not aware of the Brotherhood? He only finds out the Brotherhood were testing him right at the end, when they all help him to try to take the Apple from Rodrigo? The people who have helped him out on his journey were secretly assassins?

Sorry for the unduly long post, but I just wanted to clarify things. xD

TL;DR - Ezio wasn't aware of the Brotherhood?

AC2's events and timeline go from the start of Ezio's page to the Siege of Monteriggioni section.
