is that the best starting point? I have read elswhere that you should start with AC2.... but I would kind of like to start from the beginning. just wondering if there is any key stuff that I need to know or if I am making a mistake starting with the original game.

Thanks!

starting at the beginning is never a bad idea. going through the games in order, the story will make more sense.

Yeah, work you're way through them sequentially, makes more sense storywise, plus you'll appreciate each game and the progress each game makes i.e. the leap from AC to AC:II.

You definitely need to play them in order of release. The story make the most sense this way + most people playing a sequel before the first game in any series won't like the first as much as they like the sequel because of limitations, graphics, ... while if you start with the first game and then play the sequels, it only gets better.

YES!! You should play the first one first. The story is AMAZING, but it's very hard to understand at times. So if you go by order, you'll understand it more, and enjoy it more!

Yes you should. Then when you will be playing the sequels you will understand what is going on
