This game is Very Graphic Intensive, so in saying that, a Laptop will most definently have major issues just playing this game in the "Low" settings, if at all.
Highend Desktops are having Problems as well, so don't feel bad.

also being that your running a 64mb card could be a problem. the game recommends at least a 128 to function properly

I appreciate that laptops are not as powerful when it comes to games, but with mine I've been able to play any other graphics intensive game without trouble (splinter cell2, battlefield 1984 etc). Also, if I'm not mistaken, the minimum requirements for graphics are 64mb, not 128 (that's the recommended). This game doesn't seem to function at all though, I would have at least expected some choppy performance.

Farcry says on the box that it does not support mobile chips and you really can't compare BF or Splinter cell to farcry. neither of them are dx9 games
But that said, you are right that you should att least get choopy play. Other people are able to play on similar laptops so you must have some driver or other issue with your system. Dont expect help from ubi, as said, the game does not support mobile chips. Good Luck
