Looking at the new masthead of the messageboards and the speculation about the direction the sim is headed <cue ukelele music> http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, I notice that said masthead has no title yet.

If there will be a new centerpiece aircraft for the sim and not the IL-2 (sort of growing beyond the Eastern Front) what would you like it to be ?

I'm thinking, maybe a plane that served in all theaters like the Spit, Hurri, P40, B24, etc. in order to symbolize the (eventual) global scope of the sim.

Without thinking about it, the Zero, the George or the Hellcat. Right along with a B-24 or B-26. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Dauntless/Catalina for the US side, don't know enough about Japanese aircraft to say what would be equivalent. Just trying to stay with the "ground" pounding aspect (not a lot of ground in the Pacific http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )
