Hey guys, long time player, first time poster. I've always enjoyed playing around with IL2, but wanted something to make the game feel a little more unique. I'm a pilot in real life, and just didn't like using the keyboard for everything.
Attached to this post (if i'm doing it right) should be three pictures of what i created for this game. The box may look a little flimsy, but it is actually quite strong (cutting perfectly straight lines by hand is a little more difficult then i thought) This isn't the first controller i made, i just finished one 2 weeks ago for an old space game called Freelancer as well. However, this one incorporated a few new things like the engine selection dial, as well as the need to hit multiple buttons to create an action (so i accidentally don't bail out, or turn off the engine)
Happy Flying!

Hmmm black letters on a black forum.. If you really want anyone to read this you might want to change that..

Nice controller setup. What are the electronics? Bodnar, or something else?

Spliced into an old keyboard actually. I didn't know about the world of custom chips before doing this. Just starting to learn about them. I am about to order one of the Bodnar BU0836X's for a Cliffs of Dover panel i want to build. Originally bought two boards from Desktopaviator, now i'm not so sure what to do with those. I'm sure i'll find something for them though.
