Not too shabby, I'll be buying the PS Vita Bundle that comes with the game...

I am personally excited to have anon-Desmond Assassin game that is completely separate to the rest, well not necessarily 100%, but something new nonetheless. I think this is the direction AC will be going soon after Desmond and personally, I am ecstatic that they are releasing it now rather than later. Now we get the future of AC, now.

Seems like a full scale game and I am already liking the new character.

++ for me.

They also confirmed that if you hook up your copy of AC3 to this one, you will get access to the tomahawk (and possibly another extra weapon, can't remember) and an exclusive multiplayer character.

Even though I won't be getting a Vita, I'm definitely excited about both AC games.

Personally I think AC Liberation alone is worth buying the Vita for, I'm also getting the Wii U just for AC3.

Well the Wii U is just overall epic.

If I can get myself a part time job, then I might be able to buy the Vita bundle...

They said extra ammo pouches too. Which contradicts what they said a month ago when they said that they didn't WANT you to have loads of ammo upgrades

It looks amazing! First I'll play AC3 and when I'm finished with that, I'll get Liberation. Too bad I have to buy a PS Vita to play it, though :p

Bought a Vita on day of release specifically for the AC game.

Haha, you're not the only one, mate!

This doesn't look too bad. Hopefully it won't let up.

I hope the bonus multiplayer character is solely for the Vita. I know that Ubisoft have a preference for Sony, but I wouldn't like the see players on the PS3 and Xbox 360 unbalanced, all because one company has a handheld and the other doesn't.

Here's some more info via Kotaku:
http://kotaku.com/5916040/assasins-creed-on-vita-manages-to-make-combat-easier-yet-harder-its-complicated

Basically, countering is harder, chain kills are touch-based.

Liberation has a dedicated jump button, the X button. The right trigger runs, but doesn't automatically jump at ledges—instead, you have to press X to jump. That's a big change from a series that typically hasn't had a real jump button.
I watched a sequence similar to more recent console games' horse and buggy chase sequences; the demonstrator tapped the touch screen to increase the horses' speed and held his finger down to make them slow down. I'm unsold on how fun this would be, but then, I didn't like those sequences in the console games either.
The game will have an economy like in the console games, though it will be different and "exclusive to the Vita," whatever that means.
We have confirmation on the alligators in the bayou sections. There will be alligators. Alligators!
The top devs did the requisite fact-finding trip to New Orleans, and a lot of the city's famous buildings are looking mighty nice.
Aveline's animations are totally new, and use the same animation tools as Assassin's Creed III; Aveline has a lot of Connor's moves, including pulling up an enemy as a human shield when faced with gunmen.
Aveline has a machete, which I didn't see used, and a blow-gun, which I did. While she was in one of the series' ubiquitous haystacks, she fired off a dart that poisoned one guard, luring another over to his location for a good neck-stabbing.
The characters in the game are all based on real historical figures, with the exception of Aveline herself; she's an amalgamation. If a character in the game dies, they died in real life at the same time.

How can it be claimed that her animations are totally new, if she used a lot of Connor's moves? I wouldn't say that was unique at all.

@math.sab: Yeah, I noticed that too. I'm guessing they showed her wearing a dress just in-case some people couldn't already tell she was a girl, lol

Might also be there to show what kind of class of citizen she was... dunno. Could be any number of reasons.

Or... perhaps they're hinting at obtainable outfits for Aveline.

If one would take notice, the contrast in outfits might just be symbolic..

This new game extension is really cool & all, but I don't think I'll be buying a Vita just to play it any time soon...

They showed the dress because she'll obviously have a stealth mission wearing it. Haha.

Do you think we will get any gameplay of this at E3 and if not any idea when?

Also any idea of what this building is in New Orleans in mid-construction?

@eagle

If not E3, perhaps during Gamescom (or however that expo that comes a few months after E3 is called I forget)
