thanks for the reply, i'm surprised that more have not with either negative or positive comments, i was about 10 meters behind the the firefly when it fired up, blew the fence down and sent people scurrying for cover, nastiest sound i have ever heard , the griffon was much louder than the entire four packard merlins of the lanc, a merlin sounds lovely but the griffon is just plain a big old mean bugger that has to be heard to appreciated

The Lancaster is one Beautiful Bird. Isn't that Lancaster... one of two flying now or is it the only one left flying.
And the Firefly! Wow!
Thank's for the Pictures! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Yes you are right, there is only two that fly. "The City of Lincoln" in great britain and the "Mynarski Memorial Lancaster" here in Canada. Canadian Warplane Heritage has dedicated this aircraft in the memory of Andrew Mynarski, a true hero who gave his life for others, read the story people, we enjoy our freedom because of men like Andrew Mynarski!

I remember that one of the Lancasters had the Hanger go down on it... if I remember it correctly. Just after or just before it was finished. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
