It has come to my attention that nobody has created a topic in regards to what the map will look like.

So what i want you to do is to create your own AC3 map and to share your map with the others on this topic.

We already know that Ubisoft isn't going to create n all in one map like Brotherhood but it will be separated into three sections the Frontier,New york and boston.
It is up to you how you create your map you can do an all in one map or do it as separate sections. As of now i am working on a map and once it is complete i will upload and show you.

So get creating and remember everyone who has made a map Well done no matter what it looks like you have given it ago and taking part.:D

Ok so this is what i believe The Frontier might look like. Now this isn't the completed version this is just a hand drawn imagination of what i want it to look like.

leading off to the left is the path toBoston and to the far right the path to New York. witch both cities will be done separately.

That looks great, wish I had that much skill.
Do you think that that Conner's main hideout will be in the Frontier

Ermmm yeh i suppose it would be some kind of wooden cabin that leads underground to some caves i mean im just going with the whole native thing it might just be a building for the assassisns who knows.
I imagine it will be in the Frontier since thats all ubisoft have gone on about n not really gone into much detail about the cities.

Didn't they say the Frontier will be 1.5x bigger than Rome, and that New York and Boston combined makes 80% of Brotherhood's map?

Frontier = 1.5 times the size of Rome
New York = 1 x Rome
Boston = 1 x Rome
Game = MASSIVE

From what I have read in some interviews, it is like this:

Frontier is 1.5 times bigger than Rome
Boston and New York each, are 0.8 times the size of Rome, which is like having two Constantinoples I guess.

Therefore, and this may change, since cuts are always made, we have a HUGE map!!!!

It's gonna take a lot longer than I expected, forgot how unwieldy this is :P But I should be done (hopefully) today.

Also, I'm not too good at using it, so don't expect wonders :P

I'm going to do the Frontier and try to do city maps of Boston and New York. I'm not going to put in every building, and towns in the frontier will just be marked with a little town symbol.

This might help as a prefrence for the two cities

Remember, "the size of Rome" probably referes to the actual city, not the whole map.

In fact they said "1.5 times biggter that the entire brotherhood map", that means they include not only the city, but its countryside as well.

If this is true...
Each city is 40% of Rome.
Florence was 1/3 of Rome, or 33%
So we have two cities that are a bit bigger than Florence.

That is what I read on Gameinformer too, that both Boston and New York are similar to Constantinople.

Hence why I said "If this is true."
I haven't been reading much about the game because I'd like to find these things out as I play, rather than know everything about the game before it even releases like I did with Revelations.

In the AC 3 gameinformer podcast, Alex Hutchinson said that each city of New York & Boston are about 80% the size of rome, which is roughly two cities the size of Constantinople in ACR. Even if New York & Boston are each only 60% the size of rome, that's still two pretty big cities, plus there is the Frontier which is 1.5 times the size of the entire Rome map from ACB. Don't worry, the size of the maps in AC3 should please fans of the AC series. Also, in the podcast, Alex Hutchinson said that the narrative of AC3 is comparable to AC2 (meaning just at long or longer than AC 2 main storyline), and that they invested alot more in side missions in AC3 than any previous AC game, he says it's the biggest AC game to date. Don't want to jinx it, but I have no doubt that this will be the BIGGEST & BEST AC games in the series. Cant wait til E3 for the demo!!

This is somewhat what I thought Boston would actually look like. I've stopped working on it for a bit, because it isn't really my best. But I'm open to suggestions, if you have any.

I'm pretty sure it's confirmed you can. AC3 is suppose to give you the freedom to climb pretty much everything you see in your sight (which may be exaggerated) but you CAN climb mountains.
But realistically not every, but mostly everything will be climbable.
