Who is Frank Hopkins? You must be wondering.
Frank Hopkins was a character of mixed race ancestry, his father was an American and his mother a Native American. Further more he has his own movie titled ‘’Hidalgo’’. Which is loads of fun.

Anyways this blend of two cultures, of two worlds of two (insert whatever here) relates in nature to the one of Altair. Who if you remember well was son of a Muslim father and a Christian mother.

If Connor had a similar or even the same nature of origin, it would make things more interesting. Granted he would still have that genetic descendancy from Ezio, Altair etc… but would tie him directly to this new world and at the same time liberate him from the choice and responsibility of the war.
Frank Hopkins (at least the one in the movie) took the culture of his mother as his own.

If he where a sole and complete Native American it brings more questions such as:
- How did he become an instant assassin in such a short period of time?
- Why would he care or even dress as one of these people from the new world?

But if you did it on the other way then it would bring these other aspects that seem more plausible IMO.

- He’s got the assassin skills and talent out of heritage (even if they are very dormant in his sub-consciousness.

- He is a perfect window for the old world folk into the new one and vice versa, giving you that Clint east wood feeling of (for a handful of dollars).

- You will see the native Americans as a part of your family and some of the new world folk as part of your family as well, acting as a complete ultimate American. Thus explaining why do you use the revolutionary uniform, why do you know how to read and write, your education and preparation on the usage of new world tools of war.
And of course your genetic connection to the lineage of Altair.

Just my two cents, have more stuff but would like to hear something from you guys.
Also his GF better does not die, Cristina was fine but Revelations made me facepalm in every aspect.

Also, British, not colonist.

Oh and 1: There's a span of 30 years.

2: To blend in more.

What do you mean, how did he become an assassin in a short amount of time? Most of his training was probably from his time with his tribe, and even then we don't know how long it is until he has full assassin abilities. As to why he dresses mainly european, the Assassins are a European organization. He puts on his uniform to go to work, simple as that.

EDIT: Also, TWCB DNA doesn't have to be passed down through assassins. Normal people can have it, Templars can have it. Not all assassins can use eagle vision.

The Assassins derived from the Middle Eastern Arabian Hashashin order, it is not a European order. The Assassins in game exist worldwide.

And they have long since ceased being the Hassassin. Altair's order ended, and the next strong and unifying Brotherhood began in Rome. The majority of the assassins in AC3, however, are from the british brotherhood, or possibly another european brotherhood. Hence, a british organization. In those days, each branch of the order acted mostly separate from each other, since communication was still slow. We don't know which is the most powerful branch of the brotherhood in Connor's time, but I'd bet on it being the british one.

EDIT: By the way, I was quoting Alex Hutchinson when I said "a european organization".

That and they were around WAY before the 13th century
Before recorded time even.

So If they were to make a sequel in Japan featuring a major Assassin unifying the order in Asia, the Assassin order would be considered Asian discounting the fact that the Order derived from Arabian origins?

Your point I get, but they aren't Arabian, that's just another branch.

Yeah, it would be known as the Japanese branch of the Assassin Order. During the time of Ezio, there were multiple branches of the Assassin Order operating in their own way, but they still follow fully or parts of the creed. Mario said it best with his statement, "In this modern age, we are not as literal as our ancestors; but our seal is no less permanent." Each country is unique such as named Italian Assassins wearing normal clothes to blend in the population and not using a hidden blade. The Turkish Assassins had dual hidden blades and a hook blade, despite the Codex stating that the metal used are hard to get and usually Master Assassins are allowed to use two. The Chinese Assassin, Shao Jun, used a different type of hidden blade, which was implanted in one of her shoes. Not to mention that she wore a black robe compared to the traditional white.

The order didn't derive from Arabian origins. Masyaf is where the order was "reborn" (according to Ezio), not founded. The order is thousands of years old.

Connor was not raised to be an assassin, he was raised to be a Hunter, to survive in the wild.
He was not raised nor trained to climb buildings.
Native Americans their beliefs, views and culture. To believe that a native American in those times would become a master assassin in a couple of years is ridiculous.
For starters to begin to accept and incorporate into a new culture would take generations, take the Mexican conquest as an example.

La Malinche allied with the spaniards and many tribes of Mexico allied with the spaniards in order to overthrow the Aztecs, but they would not dress like them and use their cultures out of the blue. It took generations, a couple of hundred of years for that to happen.

What I am pointing here is a way to make that gap shorter, to make it more believable in a cool way. Assasin’s became a world wide thing but only those who grew with that kind of stuff or where raised in such manners could achieve Masterhood of their arts because that is how it has always been. Look at the best sportsmen and the best of everything… they have been doing that since kids.

Altair trained since he was a little brat, Ezio got pitted into fights and climbed all of Florence when he was a brat.
You want Connor to do all that while his education, culture and beliefs have raised him to become only a hunter. Heck, forget about reading, writing and knowledge from all the new tech stuff from the old world.

If you made his mom a native American and his dad from Europe then it would be believable, heck it would even give him a far greater advantage above everyone else. Having good education and learning on the modern stuff and at the same time understanding nature and it’s principles.

Just watch the Movie of Hidalgo, that guy was a true American in blood. From the native Americans and those new americans.

There was no such thing as an American before America got independence, they were all British or from other parts of Europe
Also, Connor's mom is a native American and his dad is British. He's Half European-Half Native American, its a known fact. Its not an "If" . How that will play out for him is unknown.

An American is someone that was BORN in America. My point is that he should be the ultimate aspect of what an american would be, the combined genetic force of a native american with an american settler.

If his dad had assasin training or heritage then that would explain why he could develop into an assasin so quick or just become one.
