That depends. What time period would you suggest?

Looking into it, it actually doesn't look all that bad. Here is a picture of it in the 1800s.

Ah, ok. Looks pretty good. The rooftops are a little too steep for my taste though.

What about the History ?

If it'll ever happened, which would be swell for us from Sweden, it'll probably be set when Sweden was a powerful nation in the 17th century. But there are other interesting time periods, like when the plague called Black Death struck Sweden and of course Viking era. Gotland was a trade city and could be a link between Stockholm and Lubeck or another German/Polish city of interest.

Cool also that you mentioned Gotland cuz I am currently living there :) and the inner city has a AC setting written all over it :)

Why would you want an AC set during the Black death plague ?

I really love the idea of Sweden/Scandinavia for an AC game! I think the Viking era would be particularly interesting, I'm not sure if they had big settlements suitable for free-running but as AC3 utilises trees, cliffs etc for climbing I don't see that as much of a problem. I had a very quick look at Wikipedia and it seems they travelled to places such as Russia and also Britain where they settled. A lot of people seem keen on Victorian England as a setting for an AC game, you never know, maybe the assassin in a Victorian based AC might have a viking ancestor! ;)

Forum loves Sweden, hates Australia.

Poor Australia.

i think the 15th-17 century would be great, they even called stockholm "the scandinavian venice" or something like that. One thing iīd hate though would be the citizens speaking swedish, why ? because i live there and it would just feel weird.

Anywhere that I don't know much about would be fine with me. Ubisoft said "History is our playground," so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible. The only thing bad about it would be that, if it's the next game after AC3, people would complain about there being too much snow hahaha.

I also think Australia would be cool.

I think I need to know more of what historical point would draw us in. What in Sweden's history could create a dramatic story?

Oh that's what you meant. Good point. I thought you were saying the architecture wasn't good enough.

Sweden is one of the most beautiful countries in the world, but just like you, I dont know if there is a appealing period to "work" with
