Nowadays I just do playthroughs of ACII and Brotherhood. I started my first playthrough on Revelations a few days ago. ACII and Brotherhood have playthroughs that aren't even complete yet.

If you have ACR you have a copy of AC1 with it, blueray too I think.

I'd download it if my little brother didn't want to play it too (he has his own Xbox).

Only on PS3. I only own an Xbox 360.

Blast him!

Side note: I totally forgot that AC 1, was only released on the PS3 version of ACR.

I tried to do a playthrough of AC1 again, but man the slow climbing just put me off. I got so used to the faster climbing of the later games. So I skipped ahead to AC2.

The climbing was smooth in AC 1, it was just slow. I don't mind at all, it helps you appreciate the buildings and environment more.

i try to play through ac1 but it just gets to repetitive too quick, although is does seem more stealth based than all the other ac's

Not to mention the combat system is so much better. i don't like being a walking tank.

Slow! That's the word I was looking for, not clunky. I'll edit my first post. I found it annoying because I'd try to run away from the guards by climbing but because of my speed they could easily knock me down with stones. Much easier to escape up with Ezio.

Hmm, now this thread is making me want to play the game right now lol.

I don't like AC1's combat as much as the later games. Not to mention it's still very very easy.

I did this before Revelations, probably won't for AC III since it's a new time period, assassin, everything.

I will but I'll start a lot later, maybe around July, actually, I think I might give each game a month in the lead up. It might give me a reason to do a lot of free roam and get an even better appreciation for the games. Combine that with reading books and watching movies on that time period and I'll kind of have themed months.
July will be 'Crusader month', August will be 'Rennaisance month', Septemeber will be 'Rome month', and October will be 'Ottoman Empire month'.
Anyone care to join me on my epic adventure through history?

I'm gonna start when I get ACIII. I'll complete AC, then watch Lineage, then ACII as canon as possible. I might watch Ascendance, then Brotherhood full sync and the Da Vinci Disappearance. Finally Revelations full sync and the Lost Archive, after which I'll watch Embers. If I can get The Fall and The Chain I'll read those. Then ACIII. I'm hoping to do this over a weekend :D
