just wondering, do you think the assassins would support the ideas of OWS, or oppose them....

what do you think?

most likely, yes. OWS is basically a protest against the establishment and the establishment is almost under full control of the Templars.

"Even in times of peace, the poor are always under siege." Great line! What's funny is, there's really no difference between some "news" outlets now-a-days and bribing heralds to incite a riot.

Viva La Revolucion!

Rise Against the Borgia, Rise against the Ottoman, Rise against the Crusaders, Rise against the wealthy. Rise against the power. It's what the Assassins are all about, not just a group bent on stopping World Control, but on fighting corrupt powers and saving the people of the land. If there were real Assassins things all over would have been different.

It's some fanart I found on Deviantart and thought it was cool. Replicated the Assassin Insignia on the cape and got the signature made.

I'm not sure what the artist meant it to be but to me it seems like a mexican Assassin.

Here's the original link. (http://edux567.deviantart.com/gallery/28422835#/d2yrr5q)

To an extent only given that OWS actually demands more government intervention over private affairs. Let's face it for the Assassins the answer and the fight is not so easy and not so overt as OWS, it's a long road that focuses on the anarchist principles of self-governance/self-control and education and enlightenment on a microcosmic scale in order to influence the emergent property of society that would seemingly be "government."

Let's keep in mind there were ulterior motives at work. As good as the intentions may have been (engendering anger in the collective consciousness at the establishment), they were a diversion for bigger change.

I never said the government was the establishment. ;)

Sneaky?

Not sure of the implications of your statement, to me OWS may be well intentioned in terms of social issues, but falls flat on its face on economic issues as it preaches exactly the opposite of what the want socially. Are you leaving the possibility of the current government being the establishment open to debate or are you referencing the proposed government in my quote?

My head hurts...

From what I've seen, in the US large companies are the real establishment, not the government. Also, there is the separation of powers to consider. The government is usually only referring to the executive and sometimes legislative powers, not the judiciary power.

I would agree but the government supports this through a feedback loop. So both are corrupt aspects of the US. And there are the beginnings of a massive centralization of power within the executive branch.http://atwar.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/02/22/pentagon-says-u-s-citizens-with-terrorism-ties-can-be-targeted-in-strikes/

I would agree, but who do you think are behind these developments?

One of the puzzles in AC:B shows a photo of an Occupy style protest.

You solve the puzzle by highlighting the hidden assassin symbol or the eagle I think =)
