Hello! I think IL2 Sturmovik FB is a great game and I think it would be even better if I had a joystick to it. What joystick should I choose for best performance?? I want quality and NO waste of money like a "driftning" piece of junk. I have been thinking about Saitek Cyborg Evo. Is it working fine with IL2?? Do u have a suggestion for a reliable joystick, im listening http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

P.S My english is`nt that well http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I have the CH Yoke USB,and I like it better than a stick. Reason ? Seems to give more precision control. I have had it for over three years and it still feels like new. I know it is hard to change if you are used to a stick. I also have CH Pro Pedals. Quality products and great support. Sam

Well, I have a Thrustmaster afterburner II with separate throttle and it works quite all right. I also don´t think you will find a cheaper HOTAS if I´m not mistaken.

I use a MSFFB2 as my main stick and a Saitek X45 as well...the MSFFB may be hard to find. FB supports multiple sticks. I f money is not an issue then I suggest you get a MSFFB2 AND and X45. You should be able to do that for $150 or less. You can get a refurbed X45 for $39 here.. http://store.yahoo.com/saitekusa/recprod.html and you may be able to find a MSFFB2 online.. they are getting scarce though. Great stick. You can use the X45 stick stricly as a button bay for things like lights, bail out, engine start etc. Immersion is what it's all about IMO. Whatever you decide get a good one. The XC45 is worth it even at full price IMHO... ($79) You decide whats best for you. I hear of too many guys with $150 sticks replacing pots and crap after a few years..or months even. No thanks... If yoiu can find that X45 for $39 refurbed jump on it like stink on $hit.

Joystick choice varies greatly from one person to another. My standard recommendation is to spend more than US$40 and by the one that feels best to you from:

Microsoft OR
Saitek OR
CH Products OR
Thrustmaster

I use the Saitek X45. I've also used a Microsoft Sidewinder, the Saitek Cyborg Digital 3D USB, the Thrustmaster Topgun Afterburner II and a couple of cheapies that sucked so bad I wont mention them.

My MS FF2 joystick is just gorgeous.

It's my favourite inanimate object.

When the trigger button wears out (like it did with my previous one), I will be very sad indeed.

See they don't make then anymore, so I will have to switch to something inferior.

Don't listen to the CH snods who say the FF2 is for 13 year old arcade flyers.

See if you can track one down before they become extinct.

Thanks for all advices http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I think I have changed my mind concerning the Saitek Evo. The MS FF2 seems to be a better fligt stick from my view. The CH products is to expensive for me http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif but im sure that u get quality for the money. Anyway, the MS FF2 looks promising, but i will continue my search... Thx again
