I'm finding that I can't find all postings as made (usually ones I know I posted something in but the search function here doesn't give me 100% of what I've posted. So I apologize if someone has already posted this.

Found a short SILENT clip of a 262 takeoff. Now, that is not so unusual but what I found interesting was some portions of the clip were INSIDE the c.p. showing the pilot adjusting various controls.

Yes I remember seeing it before. Filmed using a plane on the ground (maybe even in a studio).
Believe this was part of an instruction film.

At liftoff, he pushes both pedals forward. What is all that about?

He's pushing the brakes to stop the wheels from free spinning before raising the landing gear. This is standard practice on pretty much every aeroplane ever made...

Here is the complete film, the original audio was lost, but it has been overdubbed by a veteran describing everything he sees in the clip.
