I think everything I play is a simulation. Presently occupying my HD are: IL2Fb/PF (naturally! All praise be to it, amen! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif ),SHIII,LockOn and Operation Flashpoint (in its original,Red Hammer and Resistance guises). We need another good helo sim IMHO.

CFS3 Yes I have it!!! But.... flying the OFF: Over Flanders Field mod with WWI aircraft.
Wings Over Vietnam
Strike Fighters Project 1
Butt load of FPS games and RPG games.

Hoping to get a wheel soon so I can get back into racing, I loved Need for Speed: Porsche Unleased(PC version). GT Legends looks awesome as well.

Su-15 cockpit releaced today ~> http://aerospace.boopidoo.com/

Have you seen the F-106 and MiG-21 series pits? Pretty nice stuff. The functioning cockpit systems in the Su-15 pit are amazing. F-106 has that moving map display, it shows local picture of terrain map in the cockpit.

Strike Fighters Project 1, just picked it up for $4.99.
Just got XP last week. FB made it back on. Falcon 4 SuperPak4 will go back on. CFS3 cough and the OFF add may get on. Got FS2002, but am looking for 2004 for less than 20 bucks....

Out-of-box, the grafix and control settings are hopelessly conservative. Ask how to ramp up the sim -- grafix and the sluggish controls.

Publisher webboard here, that's where I go ~> http://bbs.thirdwire.com/phpBB/

Or you can try the simhqzoo ~> http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=forum;f=145

Some cirrus cloud mods I am working on, slowly...F-106 and pit by Pasko and Team.

Look for R-Factor ( http://www.rfactor.net/ ), it's wonderful.

I played with Nascar Racing (from 4 edition to the last) and was very realistic, when GTR but I didn't like it, the FM isn't so good IMO and it had too many issues with multiplay.

Interested in other sims? $hit yeah!

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Apart from the unsurpassed IL-2/FB/AEP/PF series, I've got the following:

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

CFS3 with Over Flanders Fields (I like OFF)
Rowan's BoB with 098 upgrade (yet to try WoV)
CFS2 with Australian Kittyhawk add-on
B-17 Flying Fortress the Mighty 8th
Enemy Engaged Apache/Havoc and Comanche/Hokum
Jane's USAF
Falcon 4.0 Allied Force
LOMAC
FS2004

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

Do I have time to play them all? No chance, but I've already given some of the older ones a pretty good belting. These days, its FB/AEP/PF most of the time, with OFF, F4AF and LOMAC competing for whatever time remains.

Silent Hunter III will be next on my list, for a change of pace.

I guess first person shooters shouldn't really be thought of as sims, but my two all-time favourites, Ghost Recon/Desert Siege/Island Thunder and RavenShield, kind of felt like sims to me, when I was playing them (still go back to them occasionally).

Used to play almost exclusively sims and just getting back into them. Mostly fight and racing sims though.

GTL looks pretty sweet and reminds me of the best racing sim I've ever played Grand Prix Legends, which I may have to re-install.

The Jane AH-64 Longbow games were great as was Red Baron back in it's day. The Nascar Racing series also consumed a lot of my time in the past.

I tried LOMAC when it came out, wasn't really impressed, but then that was the first release and it was very buggy. Still have it, but doubt that I'll reinstall. I did have fun messing around with the A10 though, so I might give that another try. I hate to sound antiquated, but the number of controls was stunning...I'd need 3 HOTAS just to have a reasonable switchology lol.

I helped beta test Steel Beasts, the guy that did the sound effects was in my armor company when I was in the Army. The game was pretty well done and lots of people I know thought it was great, but as a former tank commander I felt it was anything but realistic. The graphics were good for it's day...it just couldn't replicate the feel of being a TC but then again I've never seen a tank game that did it right. Ultimately it just didn't suit me and while I appreciate the effort, if you ever were a tank crewmen, you'd understand why it just didn't get the feel down.

I play GTR and GTL, and occasionally a few laps at my favorite addon track in GPL. I have Silent Hunter III and I think it's a great game, but I don't play it much at all.

I'll add Red Orchestra to that list... my prepurchased, preloaded copy is updating at this moment on Steam. Update 99% complete!

Don't know if this is what you'd really call a sim, but it's gonna be fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You would consider Red-Orchestra a simulator?

TX-Zen - have you played the new steal beasts PE released the other day?? Or are you referring to the original steal beasts released years ago?

I"m really not a fan of Lock-On. It's pretty, but there's no campaign. The avionics are simplified, but they still take WAY too many buttons because you can't click on the cockpit.

Falcon 4.0 Allied Force is pretty great. You'd be hard pressed to get one of the mod supporters to agree, but it trumps the non-commercial Falcon 4.0 mods pretty badly.

Maybe some of you know this one: Eagle 3D Lander.
It´s an Apollo missions simulator. Great detail, steep learning curve, great graphics...There´s a demo you can find here:

This a list of the sims I play:

Operation Flashpoint
T-72: Balkans on fire
IL-2+FB+AEP+PF
Sim City
Sim Copter
FS 2004
Dangerous Waters
Flanker 2.0
Wings Over Nam
Tac Ops 4 (demo)
Falcon 4.0 (Allied Force And FF3)
Lock ON: Modern Air Combat
Pretiorians
Slient Service 2
Janes Fleet Command
Janes F/A 18
MSTS

And that's about all I can think of for now (I am a bit weird for a 17 year old, arent I? And mother wonders why I get the bad grades, maybe i should put down my joystick and start chasing the ladies like all the other chumps at school? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif )

Well, in Allied Force, you cant pliot any of the other wonderful birds you can fly in any of the other mods made availiable for bare bones Falcon 4.0 in the first place. It just turns it into a strictly F-16 only sim, and that kinda is what turns me off about the sim.

I would, for UT2004 anyways. Real intense. I'd recommend it for anybody on this board, especially Oleg. He wont be taking it to the jerries in the air, oh no, he'll be taking it to them in the streets!

I play X-plane every now and then. Pretty good competition to MSFS, considering it's all done by one man!!! But that one man is an aeronuatical engineer who's also a class A programmer. Does Microshaft even have one aeronuatical eng. working for them to help with their sim?? I seriously doubt it. MSFS was good back in it's heyday though. No longer.

Sounds like SB1 since he refers to the graphics. I'm also curious. You beta tested it TX-Zen, but I've never heard of you. Did you play online at all or post in the forums? What was your user name? You should check out Steel Beasts PE if you are interested in a hardcore tank sim. The price tag keeps the faint of heart away though. I've never played another game that was so immersive. I played a lot of Strike Fighters P1 and WoV, IL-2 a bit, Falcon 4.0, LoMAC. I tend to burn out on flight sims after a while and uninstall them. They always end up back on there at some point at least for a short time. I guess I've got a revolving door policy with flight sims, though I love 'um. But nothing makes me foam at the mouth and twitch like Steal Beasts, yes, even the old 256 color first version.

And Red Orchestra looks like it will be a great FPS and WWII tank sim. they nailed the graphics. I just hope the gameplay matches those efforts.
