Hey all-I was just wondering if PC gamers who buy the standard, PC edition will get the officer, the Drachen armor, and everything else the console folks are getting with the Davinci DLC....as Uplay/free DLC awards? I, personally, pre-ordered the Digital Deluxe edition so it doesn't really matter to me-I'm just curious.

I remember that PC gamers, and everyone else got a lot of free DLC with Splinter Cell Conviction; like the Shadow Armor, and whatnot. I was just wondering if it's gonna be the same deal with this DLC.

The ones who bought the standard edition will only get the game + the Da Vinci DLC.
They won't get the bonus multiplayer characters and outfits.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. Consoles got all of the content as a bonus so you'll probably find all that content on the PC gold as well.

Only time will tell.

Just like ElleCore said and just like the first post in "UBISOFT® ANNOUNCES SHIP DATE AND SPECS FOR ASSASSIN’S CREED® BROTHERHOOD ON PC" by Mr_Shade says, bonus maps, bonus characters, Codex, map of Rome, character cards etc only appear in special edition.

The possible source of confusion is that all PC gamers who bought AC:B digitally so far were upgraded to Digital Deluxe for free so all of them (us) did get all those goodies (Codex, map and cards are, of course, digital versions).

I know about the Digital Version benefits. I, myself, pre-ordered the Digital Version. But I was just wondering if other PC gamers will get some of the stuff.

Yes, they will.

It was confirmed here (http://assassinscreed.uk.ubi.com/brotherhood/news/12639.html) that the Harlequin, officer, armor skin, and the two Templar lairs are bundled WITH the Da Vinci DLC, as the "And more..." part of it, so yes, people who buy the standard edition of the game, will get the DLC for free, and all the bonus stuff. Only things they won't get are the Codex, cards, map of rome (the strategy guide comes with a map anyway), soundtrack cd, dvd and chest.

But is this true for the PC Version as well?

Would be quite silly, because the Harlequin is still a pre-order bonus for the PC version and why should I order the Codex Edition if I get most of the extra stuff in the standard edition as well?

I call BS on this one. Why would they make more versions of the PC game, some more expensive than another, if all are going to have the same amount of content?

wooooo

Guys..

From what I understand - the PC game is the same, across the versions..

That normal game comes with all of the DLC to date for free - think of it as a gift for waiting so long...

It does not contain the Copernicus DLC [which is PS3 exclsuive]

The digital deluxe version [for example] comes with the basic game + extra content.. for the extra cost..[if you had to pay for the 'upgrade]

If you do not want that extra digital content, just get the normal version - however you do get a lot of extra content in the special edition.

If your worried - check with your retailer - but that is the information I have seen.

BUT

Before anyone buys or cancels ANYTHING - I will double check if the 'standard' or basic PC game comes with the bonus 'and more' CE content - Harlequin, officer, armor skin, and the two Templar lair - since from what I can see, it may not..

I noticed people said about Ubisoft not making different versions? - any extra bonus content could be unlocked with a code and the content downloaded - so they would only need to have a code in the box http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I will try and get confirmation though - but I would take the contents as listed in the pinned thread - anything else you get is a bonus http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

from what i've read on the AC:B website (http://assassinscreed.uk.ubi.com/brotherhood/news/12617.html) , it's like this:

Standard edition:
main game + abstergo project update 1 and 2 (no idea what those are) and Da Vinci DLC

Digital deluxe:

-Harlequin
-Officer
-SP map: Trajan Market
-SP map: Aquaducts
-Drachen Armor
-Lineage movie, soundtrack, making off, ... (probable all PDF's, movies and MP3's)
-And the same of the normal edition, game + updates + DLC

Then you've got the Auditore, which only has Drachen armor as ingame content and Aquaducts map, and then some other stuff.

And last but not least, the Codex edition, which has the same ingame content as the digital deluxe edition, but a few extras like the Codex written by Altaïr in the first game.

EDIT: The Uplay stuff is the same as the console versions: Hellequin, Armor of Altair...
However, I recently noticed that the Da Vinci DLC is available for 0 Uplay points for the PC and Mac. You probably have to unlock it there first in order to play access it in game. I think for the time, those who get the standard edition will not get the Harlequin and other stuff, but they might be able to upgrade later (or ubisoft might just give the stuff, like they did with AC2, as an apology for the DRM failure)

I'm not particularly interested in the soundtrack, map, cards, or map. I kinda want the movie-but I've seen it quite s few times before, anyway. If the standard PC version sold here in North America comes with the harlequinn, officer, helmshmied armor and templar lairs, I might just cancel my STEAM preorder.

I really want a solid copy of the game, and the extra game content is the only reason I decided on the Digital Deluxe version.

im so glad that actually more people realized that buying better edition can be pointless if we get for free those extra dlcs.

Thanks Shade, it would be great if you let us know whether the standard edition has this additional content just like the consoles got.

because from the news on official ACB site there was no word that the same goes for pc version.

the other edition than CE we have in Poland. It contains : game, additional 2characters, 2maps, armor+ Ezio's figure. And it costs like 60$.
I pre-ordered it only for those DLCs and I do not want to lose money if the same we will get in standard edition.

Please Mr Shade can you check it out. Is the pc simple edition going to have all this content (2 mp characters 2 sp characters and the Drachen armor) like ps3 and xbox360 have with the latest DLC (the Da vinci Disappearnace that will be incluced on pc ) ? I'm sure none wants to buy the wrong version. Just be quick i have to know what to pre-order :-). Keep up the good work !

He just said he will check it out.
I also asked gabe, but he wasn't precies, but I think you will get the dlc as it is on teh Consoles (with the "and more")
I think it's weird, but okee, we (the CE buyers) still have the phisical things

I have asked...

Appears the details of the contents are as listed in the pinned thread.

With the 'standard' edition - you get the game, both animus updates - and the Da Vinci Disappearance DLC

The Da Vinci Disappearance DLC contains:

Single player content:

'Da vinci has vanished - track him down in a new mission lasting over 2 hours.'

and

Mutiplayer content:

1 new map: Alhambra
2 new modes: Escort & Assassinate
4 new characters: Dama Rossa, Knight, Marquis and Pariah.

It does not contain the bonus content - such as the Harlequin.

That's part of the contents of the Codex / Digital Deluxe - so you won't get them on the 'standard' version.

If you want those items, you may need to pre-order one of the editions they do come with - and have it listed.

This is correct information, at present - however certain retailers may be offering content for pre-ordering, so please check with the store.

It's slightly confusing, judging by peoples post's to say the least - however I would go by what was listed in the pinned thread, and should you receive a bonus, it's just that.

I think the fact the Console owners get slightly more, seems to have added to the confusion.http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

That's kinda sad actually, but my guess is that those who didn't get the bonus stuff will get it later, like we did with AC2. I got the digital deluxe, so no problems for me.

Thanks so much, Mr. Shade. It's good to know that I pre-ordered the best version!
