Why those engines are able to run so long even if they leak oil? was today with P51 and scored hit on P63 engine, he was able to run away from me, we both went full throttle for over 5 mins, and enemys engine did not lose power at all http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif hehe he just left me behind like that. should it broke bit faster when it start to leak oil or what is that thin smoke trail what it leaves after engine is hit?
at least 109 cuts quite fast after such hit is done. and pls reduce DM on p63 too, its way too goood. and give yak9B stall behavior to P39 /P63 series planes, would make pilots more gently while piloting it in turn fight http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

and should P39/P63 suck in stall fight becouse engine placement?

yep, some planes can run forever with an oil leak
If I remember well, you can add the Lagg3 and the IAR80/81 to your list.

might the TV shop has its fingers in this case, u know the lubricant u put inside the engine of car so it runs much smoother after that, cant remember its name, maybe those planes are using same stuff http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

OT after the latest patch I managed (offline) once to stop the P-39s engine by 109E, never seen that before

yes that thing can fly forever with oil leak http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It depend how big is oil leak. If oil leak is weak many planes could fly very long not only P-39. Fw-190, Bf109 could fly with weak oil leak very long time too. With big oil leak P-39 couldn't fly long time because engine will get fire. I agree that DM of P-63 is very strange. P-63 could absorb many shots even from 30mm cannon and still flying. P-38 could absorb many hits from 20mm too.

Yep..the P63 remains a joke. I posted some stuff a little while ago about actually being chased down, for about 10 mins, by a P63 that was already trailing smoke when he engaged. I was in a Ta152 and my engine gave up well before his did!

So much for Mr Tank leaving planes behind in the '152...

Gotta bump this one.

Serious issues and nobody can deny them.
