I prefer the Med, i supose that it demands less work (only scenario and planes). Not a mediterranean simulator. What do you think about that?

Maybe Med will be later.

But the Pacific project has already started and it's not going to be changed.

Oh, c'mon... You'll get it based on BoB engine, I guess I saw such statement somewhere on these forums.
And I don't think "it demands less work": lot of new maps (from flat desert to grassy mountains)and ground objects, some new planes, all new ships, engine improvements to allow carrier ops for British Fleet... That's a lot of work, at least the same amount as on PF project, but the latter has already been done in few %.

Why post this question twice? My reply to your other post applies here too.

I wouldn't join any club that would have ME as member!

personaly i rather see the med. i have no intrest in u.s or japanese planes.so i ll probably skip this one.just my opinion.

After it was refeuled i climbed in.With many manipulations the mechcanics started the turbines.I followed their actions with the greatest of interest. The first one started quite easily.the second caught fire.In no time the whole engine was on fire.Luckily as a fighter pilot i was used to getting quickly out of the cockpit. The fire was quickly put out.The second plane caused no trouble - Adolf Galland (first time in a ME262)

I asked Oleg about it in ORR. He said med will follow BoB.

Supply and Demand, its really that simple.
Somebody did their home work on who wants to buy what, when it comes to Air Combat Sims.

Notice how quickly the Pacific Fighters Forum exploded into life with enthusiasts.
Most of the Worlds population lives on the Pacific Rim.
From China right around Asia to the South Americas to the States.
I reckon there are a lot of people out there like me that are looking forward to a Pacific Sim, complete with Aircraft carriers that you can take off and land on, WITH OUT the CHEAT Modders of CFS 2.
The Fact that 1C is involved just makes it a certainty to be a best seller.

I know a lot of people rubbished a Pacific Sim before at this forum.

Cry in your Beer boys BoB is a Looooong way off.

Bye!

Us American Flyboys have been left in the cold (no pun intended) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif since IL2 came out... Now we get to rejoice in the glory of our forefathers! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Since ACE & BOE came out we are back in the ball game. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif I think the Pacific is a great idea. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Great point posted earlier. Over half the world's population is Asian. Thus a Pacific theater would interest quite a few folks.

I am torn here myself. I always try and fly for the side that lost. Knowing you will win is boring. I like playing combat sims when I know there is really no chance of winning if the outcome is historical.

But I am really starting to enjoy those USAAF planes, so what do I do? OMG! The choices!!

LOL.

After BoB get's it's Med expansion, we can relieve late '42/early '43 encounters between P-38Fs and Bf-109Gs!

Lovely!

Unfortunately, we have to wait for it at least 2 years. (BoB is released in 2005, plust it'll take some time before med campaigns are made).

So, a thousand of these http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

I think that Art-J is right. Med has a lot more work to do.
But this is the point. What do we have in the Pacific?, water, water, more water, some islands and atolls covered with palm trees...
I'd like to see the contrast between desert and the Alps, bomb Gibraltar, destroy some Italian ships in vengeance for the defeat of the Deportivo de la Coruņa against AC Milan...
For me variety is the key, and if you want some carrier operations... well, the Brits had some at this time in the Med protecting the convoys to Malta. I can imagine... U Boat chase, humm :-)

But as Spanish, I can be a little biased, of course ;-)
