View Full Version : Sound in AEP

I was very happy with the sound in FB 1.22. Couldn't hear external sounds such as the other aircraft's engine, or MG being fired by other aircraft. I like AEP but it seems to me the sound has gone backwards (I know there are different opinions about this issue) but is there a setting to decrease the intrusion of external sounds. I basically want to hear only AAA (close by), rounds hitting my plane, my engine(s), my guns, and radio communication.

Did a couple of searches but couldn't find anything.

I noticed the same thing. Passing overhead of an armoured column from 500m and hearing them on par with my engine. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes - sadly - this little bug has returned.

Is it a bug ? I know it was fixed in ver.1.22
maybe it can be re-fixed in the AEP patch?

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Sound is unchanged on my system. ie) from 1.22 to 2.0

Is this a wide spread problem?

What i do not like is hearing my plane start when i am stading near the target. It drowns out everything including the air raid horn. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/784.gif

I have noticed that some of the cockpits for me (P38's, 110, Spit and others) are really quiet with one engine right in front of you, or two wacking great V12's either side of your ears

Is this a fault with the game, or my sound card

I have a Creative Audigy 2 NX external sound card that is connected on a USB 2.0 port. I never had any problems like this before AEP
