I did poke around the internet a bit to learn more about Hans but I found little about his wartime experiences. Does anyone have any details about his wartime flying experience? What (Fighter/Bomber/Transport) did he fly - etc?

Seems like a great guy, I have a feeling a friend of mine's flown with him, I recall him telling me how he'd once flown a two seater glider with a former LW JU88 pilot. To think people say that the Germans are humourless.. "I enjoyed it quite a lot until you *******s started shooting at us!"

Priceless.

Much as I like Jeremy Clarkson's presenting sometimes he says some daft things, when lifting a wingtip on one finger he comments on how light it is, come on Jeremy, you know how a see-saw works don't you.... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif
