Depends which opponents you'll go against.

Between themselves, A6M2 is undoubtedly the most maneouverable and fine to fly.

You'll be banned for teamkilling.

The A6M is too slow, all models outmaneuvre other planes at low speed, high speed is different. The best option imho is the A6M5, because it retains a good edge of low speed maneuverability but is better at high speed than the earlier models. A6M3 is not much behind. A6M2 is too slow and sucks at high speed. The A6M7 just plain sucks.

Question:
I'm looking for one that has the best control at high speed, and is very manuverable.

If you're looking for high speed performances , i suggest you choose another plane than the Zero .

Regarding manoeuvrability , it depends what you mean , cause many people think only about turn rate but if your definition of manoeuvrability includes roll rate and ability to change direction quickly at high speed , then again , the Zero might not be the ideal aircraft for this IMHO .

But if you want to stick with Zeros , personally i would choose the A6M5b with self sealing tanks and good armament , it's the one that is the fastest as well , tougher than previous versions and equally as agile as A6M3

your tactic ina zero against a Bf would be (of course avoid his shells) to take snapshots at them as they do high speed passes.
One can do this in a zero as it turns on a ticky.

The a6m7 is a late war Zero designed for higher speeds, but unfortunately they couldn't get the newer engines off the assembly line before it was needed in combat.
So you basically you have an airframe that can perform better dives, but lacks the horsepower to give it good speed in level flight.

Its basically a better armored A6M2, with bigger guns, but the engine performance keeps it from excelling.
For this reason you might see better performance from an A6M5.

Consider A6M5b type because you have self-sealing fuel tanks which is a great help when you are hit... 1 bullet thru your fuel tank can cause a leak which will down you and that is of ultimate importance when you fly several hundred of miles over Pacific.
If you go for anit-bomber missions A6M5c or A6M7's are just about perfect (check out A2A missiles too).
