This story is BS - Carr flew and crashed a Fw 190A that was found post-war on one of the airfields (Ansbach?). Most likely a Fw 190A A-6 / A-8 hybrid probably belonging to EKG(J) which had disbanded in March '45. There are quite a few photographs of this Fw 190A - Rot 31 + ~. Carr couldn't get the gear down and belly landed.
