Drive up in my limosine Oh won't you...
A quick fix for X52 pilots that find the stick is a little sticky:
Lift up the plastic cap that the crazy spring pushes down on and smear the bottom with some Vaseline (petroleum jelly). Bacon grease, lard, bear fat, etc. will also work, if you can put up with the stench.

A number of any lubricants will do. I did have a problem with my old X45. I sprayed silicone oil on the gimbal (or whatever it is called) It worked good for about a day or two. After that, there came some horrible sounds from the stick. The silicone oil had turned into tiny particles of sand. Needless to say that it won't do any good for your stick...

so, NEVER EVER use silicone oil on your joystick.

use a birthday candle. Works well, and won't damage anything.
