I don't know by which wizardry, but this video brought tears to my eyes, the way all beautiful things do to me. Sheesh! That hasn't happened in a long time!

Cheers,

Very nice TT. Excellent quality video. I'm in a low fly zone for the Army Air Corps but we don't get much like that!

Great video's ! ! !

This reminds me of a film-maker in Switserland : Lionel Charlet

He makes some of the most dramatic footage I have seen so far of flying in the mountains , in this case the Alps , and air-to-air filming .

For example this trailer : F/A 18 in the Swiss Alps http://www.lionelcharlet.com/aviation-films-extrait.php?langue=en&id=35

( be sure to turn up the volume )
More trailers on his web-site .

I have several of his DVD's , and they simply spectacular !!!

Enjoy ,

Serge V. E.

Some of you may have missed it, but there is more than one film, I added the link to the others at the bottom of my original post http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Some things. Make me cry.

I once saw a film on an episode of "Nationwide". A BBC1 programme from the early '80s?

Subject was I beleive. A "Top Gun" episode. Where the "Bunkered down" Radar was trying to catch Intruders.
Film was shown of RNAF? pilots. In their "Buccaneers". Flying, So low. That the Radar operators had to leave their bunkers and watch these guys .Kicking up a sandstorm as those planes flew over the undulations of the Mojave? Desert.
The Radar folks. Lost the plot. They could not believe that anything could do that sort of thing and not be caught by them.

We! (UK) won that contest.

I cried, then.

That's some amazing footage, loved it. Some years ago I was walking in the Cheviots near Langleeford and saw a couple of Tornados making repeated passes low along the valley. It was amazing to be able to look down on them and see the pilot as they howled past, a real thrill. I used to see Harriers flying low over the sea around Druiridge Bay and Lynemouth as well.

I would love to fly some warbirds down that valley...and make their day

That valley is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen, an almost perfectly straight glacial valley with the lake of Tal-y-lyn just were the jets turn for Corris and the Dulas valley, and the Cadr Idris massif to the right. Flying a thundering warbird down it would make any pilot's day.

Just go to any part of Snowdonia and you'll see plenty of fast jets. I used to live in LLanberis and would go out climbing and often see all sorts of jets from nato countries flying by. Scary when you can see down into the cockpit. Ogwen valley can be a good place to start.

Awesome video. Those of you with XBOX 360's and a big TV should try streaming it through your console, it looks absolutely amazing on a big TV.

Yes. Google is a wonderful thing! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I recognized the voice but didn't have a clue really - so i just listened to a line and googled it: it's Dido - 'Hunter' (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRk4_G2XXp4) http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I thought this was well-worth a *bump* TBH - a beautiful little film and i can't stop watching it!
