Is it possible now or in the future to be able to switch off the radio?

I mean....
There are various times in the game that my concentration is requiered, i do not want to be distracted by AI planes requesting landing permission every 10 seconds while am trying to concentrate on hearing where my enemy is.

It is well known that in real life WWII pilots used to switch their radios off on various occasions...for instance they used to turn their radios off when on a final approach for landing.

I know there is an option to turn the voice off completly....but this isnt what i want. I would like a switch that i can press while in game to mute or unmute the radio.

(not the voice comms for us to speak though!!!) (just to keep the reciver of the onboard radio on/off)

Thank You.

You have a toggle in Full Mission Builder in
the Waypoints tab to set radio silence for each
waypoint

i know about this, but this is for transmitting.
And i have no control over this in game.
In some missions i have built i have set that Radio silence for EVERY way point but you still hear
"REQUESTING PERMISSION TO LAND" for AI.

I would like a commande called
TOGGLE RADIO RECEIVER

Maybe am asking for to much, a sole request that nobody seems to share. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

As far as i know....unless it doesnt work and am wrong???

I tested it and it didnt keep thos cherpy AI quiet.

Use the "TAB 9 2" comm sequence pretty sure that's it, to change to the enemy frequency. No radio traffic. You cna change back when you want.

changing to enemy freq. will not get rid off chatter , only a change in language http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif)
actually a third freq. could be implemented:
1. Friendly
2. Enemy
3. Off

i really like the idea, maybe easy to implement, but how to get that to olegs programmer ?

i think it was a line called no radio chatter in config.ini maybe that will help?

Set the voice volume to zero in the sound options. No more AI chitchat...

blackjack seems to understand what am talking about

an option where while you are playing you can turn off the radio for a limited period only.

The No Radio Chatter in the confi is just turning it off completly and the other options mentioned.

I dont think it would be to much programing to include such a feature for the future.

*feel free to let us know what you think Oleg*

Its not possible....so what do you guys think about making such an option?

I also tried setting the 'radio silence' for the last two waypoints but it always changes the final one back to 'on'

in my Pearl harbor mission with 140+ planes, even in japanese, the chatter gets boring at landing time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

No radio chatter should be available to set on the run.Like original poster I don`t want to hear anything like confirming waypoints or asking permissions.

It is missing.
