at SAS... called the Single Mission Pro
It goes into your mods folder and allows us to choose any flyable plane from either side in a mission and alter skins...instead of being stuck with what the mission builder originally wrote.

also there is a Quick Mission Pro which adds to the 4.09m QMB

Pretty cool. Does that allow the user to mod stock missions/campaigns also or just mod missions and allowable with other mods?

any Single missions i presume... and since it works from the briefing screen it should also work in campaigns too....
obviously you can only fly those planes which are not AI only and have cockpits...also only planes which do not have a delayed start in the mission.
Those familiar with the FMB have always been able to change the player a/c to another flight or type or army in a mission...then save it as a new version...but this is far simpler. You have the benefits which usually need flying the mission as a coop...but you can still engage autopilot and timeskip.

And a new version is coming in a few days with other benefits too

Google

SAS, 1946, Single Mission Pro

should be #1 I'd think. Or get you in that direction.

been playing with this one, very cool tool for spicing up some of my old single missions, the author Benitomuso said that if all works out well he should be releasing his new version very soon in which you can pick any plane you like for the mission instead of just one in the current flight.

Very cool http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/partyhat.gif

I'm curious why I get admonished in another thread for mentioning problems with a mod and in a different thread I posted in, a skin to a mod was pointed out as against forum rules. What is the difference here? It's no skin off my nose but I'm no longer sure what can and can't be shown or talked about? Just color me confused. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

Mentioning mod is OK.... but adding links to them is not....and problems with mods should be addressed to the mod site where the authors can help you.

If you care to look for the post, my question was about another program aimed at boosting PC performance when playing IL2. I made the mistake of mentioning a mod in reference to that, not ask for help with the mod. Doesn't matter. I'm not trying to sideline this thread.
