You had to convince your parents?

My parents had to convince me.

The thought of my parents buying me games is hilarious already. My mother wanted to buy my younger brother a racing game last April. She bought him games for the wrong platform a bunch of times, and even got him GTA San Andreas when he was 10.
(And called me 3 hours later in complete panic, yelling "Ru Yi why is he killing people?!")

So when she wanted to buy him a racing game, every time she thought she found something suitable, she went to the store owner and asked him: "This game is good for my son, yes? No killing and no naked, right?"

Before she left the store an hour later, she asked him 5 times if the game she bought was really really child friendly.

I'm 20, and I left the house a bunch of years ago already. I buy my own games, saves me a lot of trouble. And time, lol.

We're all 13 and living at home at some stage I suppose.

I remember getting my n64, telling my mother that it would improve my hand eye coordination.

It's my philosophy that it is the mind that makes you violent, not games. Anyway I've been playing M rated games for a long while, <3 GTA, it was always a good stress releaver O.o

Anyway I buy my games now anyways. I live with my Brother and sister inlaw, It's kinda funny cause my brother turned me onto AC. He actually showed me one of the trailers and I thought: "Me want O.O!"
So yeah... Bought it with my own money but had to have my bro buy it xD

I think the last time I had to have someone else buy my game, I got my brother to do it. I can't remember what game it was though.
Luckily, when AC1 came out I was old enough to buy it myself.

I buy games myself, with my own money, from a shop, LIKE A BOSS (hope someone gets that referance)

My girlfriend bought me Assassin's Creed. She pre-ordered it from the shop she worked in, and got her staff discount. Then I took her out to dinner at the most expensive restaurant in the city and spent more on a bottle of wine than she did on the game. It was worth it. AC alone was worth it.

My best moment with my parents was when I'd shown my Dad the game, while I was playing in Damascus, and he said it was too violent. I turned off blood and headed to Acre and he walked in, watched for a while, then asked "What game is this? It's much better than that one you showed me earlier."

My dad started watching me one time when I was playing AC. He actually seemed to think it was quite good. He was saying things like "wow, he's amazing at climbing" and didn't seem to care that I was killing people http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Another cool thing is that when I was about 9, my dad was letting me play Unreal Tournament!

Everyone plays video games in my family.
My step-dad plays racing and the Jak games (though if I play a game, he always wants to try in out.) His fav is Shadow of the Colossus

My mom is video game challenged XD, she can't get through a game with out my bro, me or a game walk through. She likes the Spyro games, Animal Crossing and my Step=dad got her Tomb Raider (though it's pretty obvious why he wanted her to play the game http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif)

My Real dad will play just about anything that's fun, but he likes racing games

My brother likes all those RTS games, like Warhammer and stuff. I can't get into it so, he just plays on his computer all day.

I like action/adventure games with good combat and story that intrigues me. For example, I could never get into GTA, I don't see the point in playing it. My brother was actually the one that got me into AC, he sent me Awesome's Creed and the parody got me curious. I had never known the game was Historically based so, I was sucked in almost immediately. I had been out of gaming for the longest time.

But yeah, I didn't really have a problem with getting AC. But my mom refuses to buy God of War for my step-dad. I don't really like that game anyway, so I'm cool with it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

In that same era (I might have been 10 or 11) I'd go to an internet cafe and kick my dad's butt at counter-strike. He didn't know how to camp. I did. It was fun for me.

I made my dad play through Assassin's Creed so he could get the story, but mostly he plays MMOs and RTS's. It's better than having an overprotective dad http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

why the hell are so many people worried about nudity? the human body is a beautiful thing. unless you're blind, you will for a fact see nudity in your lifetime. i mean, you see yourself naked everyday. shouldn't you be used to it by now anyway? what is so offensive about a person in nature?
