That translation has been around for years. If you search the forums, you will find some great threads on the Bf-109's high speed flight characteristics.

Just trying to be nice and point out if ask for a copy of documents posted in threads, you will usually get a copy if you are not jerk.

That specific document was the subject of several threads.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/halo.gif I'm sure the instrumentation errors can be ballpark determined.

The 109 lair site can be found here. It is run by Lynn Ritger, the author of some pretty good 109 literature published recently. Sadly, the site had not seen much of attention.

http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/index1024.htm

The original report can be found here, hidden amongst the text of the technical description of the 109 tail units : http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/..._report/05e43-p1.htm (http://109lair.hobbyvista.com/techref/structures/tails/109.05e43_report/05e43-p1.htm)

(they used an early version of the tall tail unit in this dive test, originally used on the Werknummer 14 026 test bed, see: http://kurfurst.org/Performanc...ung109g601e605a.html (http://kurfurst.org/Performance_tests/109G1_messung601e605a/messung109g601e605a.html)
