hmm have you guys notice this about the P-40, i was just flying a long mission and i was looking on my "fuel guage", i had flown for about 1 hour with a droptank and the fuel guage had not moved 1 mm, i scratched my head and i was thinking what the Fu ck now?!?, how much fuel is it in that tank?!

and i was quite sure i was flying on "full switch"
and after the mission i saw that i was, and on a closer study of the instrument panel i saw what i thought was the fuel guage was the fuel pressure guage (n00b) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

but here is the question, the P-40 cant have it's fuel guage missing can it?.., if so where is it?, constructing a plane without a fuel guage sounds kind of stupid to me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

there are actually a guage on the floor between the pedals i can reed fuel on it but the guage is static, so i wonder if that is the actual fuel guage for the plane?, if so why did madox make it static?! knowing your fuel levels is kind of important for flying i think http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Im not sure as to why it is the way it is, but there is not fuel gauge. There is however a low fuel warning light. The low fuel light is to the left of ur compass. shown as 1# here http://www.partizanska-eskadrila.com/reference/p40.htm

The fuel guage is behind the right foot pedal but it doesn't work in-game.

P-40-B and -C have a fuel level guage on the instrument panel, to the lower left. Later models had floor mounted guages, and as stated above, they are not functional.

LOL... it's not just the P-40s, but there are many strange things in Patch 4.02m that get my goat. One I saw lastnight is AI bombers(He-111s to be exact) flying on after both engines out. They climb, circle the field they're landing at, and land with no power as tho nothing is wrong .

To me it seems this patch was not properly tested in all areas. Fly in chase view of someone you're flying with online, as aonther example, and you won't see control surfaces move at all. They did in 4.01m. I'm getting to where I don't think 4.02 should have been released when it was.

Alot of fuel guages work only when fuel drops below some level. They don't register full tanks, but partially full and below that level. Load up 25% fuel and see if guage works (not sure about P-40).

How does the hurricanes fuel gauge work ingame?

i know IRL that you had to switch between tanks displayed, but how does it work ingame?
