Kind of disappointed though, there is way too much play in the yoke, but one thing that is cool, it came with a nice set of decals for markings, the shifter makes cool clicking noises too when I move it back and forth, off to fly............Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Here is my cockpit finished last week, in functional design class. It is really fun to fly in, but if anyone can offer any advice for some good padding for a seat, please go right ahead, my butt is killing me.

Suggestions:
- Could it be the hot airflow out of the vent of yer rig, in the direction of yer ... ??

- Ah, one thing 's missing: Seatbelts! Strap yerself down! Keep yer .... tight down!

- Better turn that TV a bit, so you can watch a movie during those long boring flights!

I truly like yer monitor-2-inch-lift-solution... Is it a kinda boring book? If not, pick it up, go read up a bit during those long boring flights!

Have Fun!

I pulled the passenger seat out of my '90 Cavalier and mounted it on an old office chair base (had to take the wheels off 'cause everytime I kicked the rudder I went flying across the room). It's super comfy (and for those long bomber missions you can tilt it back and take a nap).

I betcha you could find one at a junkyard and with a few modifications have a pretty sweet ride.

How about a parachute/seat like the fighter pilots wore? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

FoolTrottel...
You know what your setup needs? Elongate the stick and put it on the floor. Not all that hard to do really. Just some basic carpentry and a few wires to elongate via splicing. I'd do it with a "Cheap Stick" first though.

hey everyone, thanks for your helpful suggestions. For the person who inquired about the book. That big ole gem happens to be "The History of Art", by Jansen, a huge Art History book that i had to buy for class my freshman year. It makes a great monitor standhttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
