what works excellent for them might not be so for u. read the manual; it isnt that hard to program hotas sticks. just remember that for the stick part, the profile commands has to match the keystrokes for that command in the game's controls section, and as far as the throttle part, scroll down to the hotas section and set what action to what button u want. others' profiles might not have what u'd want or to what button u'd want them to be at.

Probably the best'best' file will be the one you write yourself-however if you feel that is a daunting prospect by all means d/l a couple and find the one you like best.
Getting your tmm file 'aligned with in game controls is the key IMHO

if you are still looking email me at:-

I have 3...
One for the general fighter types... F4U, F6F, P40 etc, 1 for the Wildcat with manual gear control, and 1 for the P-38 with controls to select engine, left, right & feather prop. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif
I use hat #4 (right thumb) for the various altered commands so it is easy to remember.

All you would have to do for microstick view control is add the statement "USE MTYPE A4" in the top section. I currently have it deleted as my microstick pot went haywire and I have a new one ordered.

Some of the controls that are not mapped in the default profile need to be assigned in the Controls page in-game as well, but it should be self explanitory.

You can DL them *here* (http://jyarbrough.homestead.com/PF_HOTAS.zip)

Sorry for diggin out an old thread but it is better to use search than always start a new thread right?

I've seen many profiles that have rewritten part of the settings.ini file, and I am not sure why. I just did a complete re-install from the complete DVD and would like to rework my profile using the default keys. Does anyone have a complete macro file they'd like to share that has no remapped keys?
