I've been trying for days now to get PF installed over FB+AEP but have achieved nothing (other than totally fragmenting my drives). I've installed, uninstalled, patched, regedited, done all the things people told me I should do but to no avail. After installing FB+AEP (AEP merges fine with FB), patched or unpatched i put my PF no 1 CD in the drive expecting to finally be able to merge but only get standalone installs. I don't even get a grayed out merged install option like some people do, i can only choose to install pacific fighters. To top it all, i've just joined this squadron and to my horrow they only fly PF 4.5m. I really need to merge PF with FB+AEP What should I do?

My out of the box PF version is 3.4 BTW.

That's a red flag right there ... As far as I know, PF on CDs still ships as v3.0 from UbiSoft. There is at least one vendor that sells download versions of Pacific Fighters, updated to the latest patch version (PF stopped at 4.04(m) before the Pe-2 expansion was released). However, the vendor's download comes as the the 'standalone' version only.

I don't know the source of this vendor's version of PF, if it is official or not. The site looked legitimate when I viewed it; perhaps the vendor has a special license from UbiSoft to sell a 'light' version of the game that can't be merged to FB+AEP. If so, perhaps UbiSoft has begun to issue a 'stand-alone only' version of Pacific Fighters?
Does your version come on two discs or one?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
