Why not. Famous people have hobbies. I have played a game of Warhammer fantasy with Robin Williams at Toronto Games Workshop location while he was shooting a movie here. He is a big player of warhammer.

Well, I'm really Jenna Jameson. Yes, THAT Jenna Jameson. But don't tell anyone. I find that after a long day on the film set performing multiple sex acts with many, many, over-endowed male and female partners, there is nothing nicer than coming home and flying my favourite 109K-4. It's slightly phallic and I like that too.

Dunno about IL2, but Robin Williams said in an interview, that he enjoyed playing a sniper in Battlefield2. He wouldn't give his name, though, because he feared he would be slaughtered online.

famous is a relative term. There are/have been a number of people that would fit that bill that have flown this sim online.

I think it's cool that Jamesdietz hangs around. And let's not forget Chris Bergstrom. As far as other 'public' celebrities like Michael Dorn? I'd love to com it up with him and not say a thing about star trek...just call out the bad guys and go get'em.

I've flown with Oleg a couple times right after the release of FB and while he's Da Man around here, is he really famous?

I flew as Squadron Leader in an airwarrior scenario once; and only found out later that one of my newbies was a genuine WWII Silver star winning jug pilot.

I once went to a UK Air warrior convention; and taught a lancaster pilot how to fly Lancasters.( He was the guest speaker, loved Aces High and was a committed player for as long as his health help up, fantastic chap, his speach on Dresden would keep Barbi awake for weeks)

You can embarras your self in so many ways these days...

I'm happy that you brought this up....
Manure in the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by ship and it was also before commercial fertilzer's invention, so large shipments of manure were common. It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet, but once water ( at sea ) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, of which a by product is methane gas. As the stuff was stored below decks in bundels you can see what could ( and did ) happen.
Methane began to build up below deck and the first time someone came below at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!
Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just what was happening.
After that, the bundels of manure were always stamped with the term " SHIP HIGH IN TRANSIT" on them, which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the lower deck so that any water that came into the hold would not touch the volatile cargo and start the production of methane. Thus evolved the term S.H.I.T. ( Ship High In Transport ) which has come down through the centuries to today. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif.....and that's the truth, I sware! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That`s the crux now isn`t it? If someone really famous did post here with a pic no one would believe it anyway.

Mr. famous guy, you`ll have to say something on TV or make an IL2 comment in some new movie. Better still, just mention Seafireliv`s aircraft artwork cryptically when receiving your oscar one day and then we`ll all know and believe... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
