Hi all, after days of searching and tlaking with fellow fans of PF, I am still unable to find out why we are all getting Timeouts, please post your suggestions here, and if you too are having problems post here and I will put together a list of email addresses to forward to UBI to put some pressure on em to sort it!

thanks lucky boy, but bit do i need to read to tell me how to change my setup to prevent timeouts?

I tried all that, nothing works.
Even disabling all your securities doesn't work.

Ubi's GameService for PF standalone sucks hard.

Guys...this was an very same problem I had a several months ago with AEP Ver 2.04 came out.

I couldn't figure it out for a good three months...and couldn't fly online...so I feel your pain. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

It could be a number of things..making sure you have all of your updates for your sound card...things like that.

I don't have PF yet, but checked your IL2 config file and see if it wrong port numbers under the Net section correct.

The other thing that help me solve my "Time-out" issues (if you are running XP) was to upgrade from Service Pack 1 to XP's Service Pack 2. I know some people had some problems with Service Pack 2, but for me with some treaking the settings here and there with SP-2...my "Time-out" issues went away.
