Does anyone else not like the idea of 2 hidden blades? I don't it just seems weird to me. If it's a upgrade I probably won't get it.

how can you not like them. It just makes Ezio even more badass http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

2 hidden blades wouldn't draw any more attention than 1 blade, it just means he can sneak up on 2 people and quickly kill both meaning he doesn't get into a fight with he second person as that would actually draw more attention to him.

physically, it would feel wierd. in real life, try throwing a punch with just your left hand (hidden blade hand) and you can put some power into it. try doing it with both hands at the same time,(the way ezio does it) it feels weird. i guess if u run at someone or do an air assassinate, u can get some power behind it, but in the clips where they show ezio just walk up behind 2 guards and use dual blades, it looks wierd...

There's some power in the mechanism as well. Actually I think that's where most of the momentum come from. It's basically like this:

Ezio walks up to 2 guards.

Strike a pose!

Trigger mechanism.

2 dead guards.

lol at strike a pose, it does look like that when he thrusts his arms out to the sides

the hidden blade would be much sharper than a normal blade as it would need to allow for blade on blade impact meaning it would insert/slash a lot easier than say a knife or sword.

I like the idea of dual hidden blades but honestly I think it may handcuff the production team for future games.

Having not played the game yet I'm not sure who came up with idea for a second hidden blade, whether it was Ezio or Leonardo. Either way, it was a new idea at the time. If the Ubisoft team decides they want to go back in time for AC3 they will almost have to take away the second hidden blade from the player. Then people will complain about having gameplay elements taken out of the story, they won't care if it fits into the story or not.

Conversely, if they don't add a third blade in AC3 whether it's in the assassin's boot or wherever people are going to complain that they didn't add anything new to the game.

Like I said, I like the idea of the two blades, but I think for the good of the franchise they should have stuck with one, as I think they may be opening up a can of worms that will come with nothing but complaints.

Does anyone else not like thread titles that trail off into nothingness and force you to open the thread to see what the poster is talking about? I know I don't! xD

I didn't like the two hidden blades at first, but I think it's just a one-time thing for Ezio. He's over the top as ever there was, so I'm willing to go along with it just because that's who he is.

It really depends on who the Assassin is. If AC3 goes back or forward in time to a war-torn country with Assassins who rely on practicality, not wealth, then we may see another simple setup like Altair's. A utilitarian who wears what gets the job done, not a nobleman with a shoulder cape and two hidden blades.

I lovde the idea!

It'll make the game more fun and a lot easier! In AC1 if you kill one guard next to another one, the other would attack you! Now you can prevent that! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif

Dual hidden blades are almost similar to holding guns akimbo.

Looks good in games, but ridiculously impossible to pull off in real-life unless you have cameleon eyes. Most likely you'll end up stabbing one guy and missing the other, or missing both.

haven't you ever pounched two guys at the same time?

and it's an assassin if he is skillfull to climb a tower in 30 seconds he can kill two guys at the same time

I don't think I've ever punched anyone before.

I think what I meant to say was, stabbing two guys when they are in front of you... maybe. But when they are on either side, it'll be hard if not impossible to aim right. But then again, Ezio's going to be a Master Assassin. So he might develop cameleon vision too. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

at first I thought the idea of two hidden blades was cheesy but now I actually really like it. if they add a third one in ac3 that will be too much, like way too much

I dunno, I loved the dual hidden blade idea from the moment I first saw the picture of Ezio. My favourite weapon in AC1 was the hidden blade, now theres two of them, so it doubles the fun now:P

I applaud the person who first came up with the hidden blade idea while making the first game, its geniushttp://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

When you are a trained fighter your left and and your right hand to feel much different when throwing a punch. I am just as confident with punching someone with my left hand as i am with my right. It took time for that but with training and exercise you dont notice the difference when it comes to having to use both hands.
