Hey, we can't have everything. Just be thankful some thoughtful designer gave us Lancasters in American markings. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

@kaleun1961;

Your post caught me mid-gulp, and I just sprayed half my beer across the room! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Just been poking around after installing.

The "Saratoga" is abysmal. WTF were they thinking? Did they not, um, look at a picture?

and the golden rising sun on the front tip of the Yamato is missing.. its simply just blank.. makes the ship look like any other ship.. owh and.. IT WAS A HUGE SHIP, but in the game it looks very very small..

But for now I just want ctd`s fixed so I can use TDC, and later on hopefully a modkit so if not the game devs, but atleast the community, can start adding some sense of a uboat surrounding (Engine room, torpedo room, etc etc.)

Okay i might be nitpicking but it really bugs me that they would leave out IJN submarines and the ESSEX class of carriers!! long and short decks. There were a suprisingly large amount of sub vs sub encounters during the Pacific war! There were more Essex class carriers built during the war than any other aircraft carrier class!!! Way to go Ubisoft!!!!!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/disagree.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

More Essex CVs than other CV classes. Heck possibly more than all other CVs built (by all other navies) during the war combined.

That said, we built far more CVEs than Essex CVs. Over 100 as I recall.

Corrected for Wasp

'...look at the POS model of Sara/Lex. The stack is not even close to being big enough. The single most charateristic feature of the class.'

Are you sure it is a Lexington? It could simply be misnamed and actually be a different class altogether. The Lancaster, I believe, was because someone simply did not know the difference.

A lot of these things mentioned are not really bugs, they are design features. The game was designed and released in metric, that is not a bug. The Lancaster was carefully modeled by someone from scratch, right down to the upside down US stars, that is not a bug. The English grammer and spelling errors, and historical goofs are just due to lack of knowledge and are not bugs.

The recognition manual in the printed manual does not include all the ships. Go figure. For example, it includes only one U.S. destroyer. However, 3 are modeled into the game, Clemson, Somers, and Fletcher.

You are right, she is Wasp. Still looks a little wonky though.

Nagato and Mutsu are missing,

But I notice that they paid more attention to the enemy, since thats what you really will be facing. They did well on adding Japanese planes especially the Emily.

But the rest of the Allies are abysmal and I was expecting to see clock tower Battleships, those were my favorite, And gave a pretty classical look if they had em in the early onset of the War. such as the Pennsylvania Class, Nevada Class, etc.

SAD PART is, no Kingfisher plane, and even they bothered to model it and place them on the New Mexico BB.

Curtiss Helldivers did not come till later in the war, they should have used the Dauntless as a default. and the embarrassing thing is we will see Brewster Buffalos as our fighter, the entire war??? those things died pretty much in 1942. and yes the lovely Lancaster.

Can I get some Boffor 40mm AA guns for my boat? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

'...the embarrassing thing is we will see Brewster Buffalos as our fighter, the entire war?'

Like I said, the real problem is the designed features, not the bugs--they can be squashed.

As far as I know, the Nagato is not missing from the game, but I cant speak for the recognition manual.. Maybe it`s like they said.. DE editions gets better RE manual. My humble theory which anyone may feel free to correct at any time: DE owners get more ships on rec manual IN-GAME.
