I found this one over at the OFF forum.
Some bits looked quite good. Other bits had me banging my head on the keyboard.

Sorry if its already been seen http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/1072.gif

Another trailer (http://movies.yahoo.com/mv/mf/frame?theme=minfo&lid=wmv-56-p.1474545-171288,wmv-100-p.1474546-171288,wmv-300-p.1474547-171288,wmv-700-p.1474548-171288,wmv-1000-p.1474549-171288,wmv-28-p.1474545-171288&id=1808746759&f=1808746759&mspid=1809748358&type=pmfa)

You can have any triplane you like, as long as its red http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Now I want to build a 1:32 Fokker DrI, theyre great.

I think that if the rest of the film is as cheesey as most of that trailer sadly is, then I'll give it a miss.

It's a damn sight better than the one I've seen... I'd go and see it on the basis of that scene. Now I'm just bummed that Knights of the Sky still looks about a year away.

First one I've actually watched after the plethora of threads on here. Although a small low-res window makes it hard to draw any serious conclusions, one thing I quite liked was the machine gun sounds and visual smoke-trail effects. Better than we have in game, anyways http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Although I still expect the script and acting to be more Pearl Harbour than Aces High, the flying doesn't look as dumb as I originally feared.

Enjoyable that was.

Odd though that the curly tracers travel so slowly and the planes go so fast. Maybe the CG guys got mixed up there.

I really enjoyed that!

I thought that was d---ed good! The other trailer with the guy running along the exploding zep was enough to make the five year olds jeer. I'll see this film. Made me feel like I was playing KNIGHTS on LSD.

Can't get it to play. Sound works, but the video freezes. Any way I can download it or do you have another link?

Here is the movie website Flyboys (http://www.mgm.com/flyboys/) It has the standard galleries, multimedia, etc - some interesting info on the film technology is also present. I think its cool that they used a number of reproduction aircraft in filming and shot a number of the flying sequences using a gyro stabalized cam on a helicopter. I'm torn about this one - the Blue Max is one of my all time favorite movies and am very excited about a new WW1 flick - just hope its not pearl harbor sucky.

I think it's because it's hosted in America, it buffers it best it can but the download is not fast enough to keep up with the video. The bastards don't put any controls on the player so I can't just pause it until it's finished loading. Bah.

Doesnt seem like real flying or real airial footage at all...tbh no where near as good as the top gun dogfight scenes....they should use real areoplanes. CGI looks incredibly fake for dogfighting. The areoplanes just dont seem to fly right, theres something odd about it....

The aircraft appear to be far too fast, and way too good in climb.

The slow rate of fire of the guns seems about right.

All the Dr 1s being red is pure bollox.

Aurens, are yo suggesting they're overmodelled? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That movie scene looks awesome. Can€t wait for the DVD.

I noticed in the allied planes that the rotary engines don't spin around the crank though.

Very first thing I noticed also. Assuming the close ups weren't CGI, it might have just been MUCH easier and safer to build a fake that just turns the prop. Or maybe they were more modern real radials. Of course, I'm not up on the WW-I engines so for all I know they might have had some early radials.

All of the action was VERY predictable. Standard teenie-bopper junk. The action was not bad in places though.

Is it just me or was he being awfully gentle with that hammer?

Stay tuned for further pathos when the tables are later turned on the German fellow who let him get away...

You know, I expect the movie to be junk, but those flying scenes were FUN. I'll be seeing this in theatres.

ps.. how the hell is this a trailer? It looks like it was ripped right out of the movie..

Maybe it's the only fun part OF the movie?

I dont even go to the movies anymore except for special occasions... IMO it is better to wait for the DVD and then buy it for less than the cost of taking two people to the movies and none of the hassles. This however qualifies as a special occasion. I stopped even guessing about movies... I have seen movies that looked like they would be great but were bombs and found no name movies that were great... so I reserve judgement on everything now.

That was a good trailer. I really enjoyed that. I especially liked the ending. There was even a top German ace during the Second World War that commented on having a lot of respect for allied pilots that he failed to shoot down. I cannot remember who that was at the moment but I will look into that.

I think you might be thinking of a Russian ace, the quote is in CrazyIvan's signature I think.
