Ingenious idea for psych warfare. Too bad the Allies didn't play it out to its full potential. From what I gather in the article, they did it the wrong way once and gave up.

What if they had put urns instead of bombs on one bomber during raids? The Japanese were apparently extremely happy and impressed to receive the remains of the few that the Aussies sent back to Japan.

This project may have saved many lives by shortening the war. Then again, maybe not. However, it was never explored to its full potential.

I doubt it ould have ended the war prematurely to be honest, but i do admire the fantastic thought that went into the plan! I wonder how many other ideas like it were used throughout the war which we'll never hear about
