... and it was dead cool.
There was an airshow at Archerfield Airport, Brisbane, Queensland, Australia this weekend. I live near the airport and today, while sitting on my back verandah with some like-minded friends and some tallies of Foster's, i watched the Yak-3, a Mustang, a Sea Fury, a Fiat G.59B, a CAC Boomerang, three CAC Wirraways, a Lockheed Hudson, an Avenger, a Zero replica, two T-28 Trojans, an F-111, and a Dakota cavorting overhead.
A bloody good day, mate.
Even better than yesterday when I went to the airshow.

Terry mate, was it part of the airshow or was it Aus military trials to find a replacement for our aging F111 fleet?

Snap! Had a Yak-18T fly over today. But that is not that unusual, as the company that imports and sells them is only about 30 miles as the Yak flys!

I'd never join a club that would have ME as a member!!.

Used to work on 111's. Got any openings for a crew chief in the Aussie Air Force? I can't stand working on F-16's.
