Can this be done with IL2?
I have seen Ironsides do it with some Lomac training tracks, and was wondering if anyone knows, or can point me to a place that explains how it can be done.
Kinda like making training tracks with a voice over to them.
thx

Me thinks you've gotta take a look at the Movie Makers Forum! (http://forums.ubi.com/eve/forums?a=frm&s=400102&f=65710358)

Have fun!

Thx, but had a look there, its easy to add sound/voice to movies that you make, but I mean add to track files. They do this in lomac, and it makes the training tracks a lot smaller and easier to distribute than an mpg, avi, wmv.

I don't think there's any 'editing' to track files possible...
A work-around that will be difficult to distribute:
- Record your comments to a sound file. (While running the track...on a different pc maybe?)
- Place the wav file in the Samples\Music\Inflight folder, and make sure it's the only wav file there...
Of course, viewing a different track means placing a different .wav file in the inflight folder... Not very practicle is it?
(Yeah, this must be the Fool's approach...)

They do this effectively with Lomac.
Ironhands site here

By using the Loman instaler its easy peasy, the track files arnt modded, just that voice over is added to them with a set of sound files.
Anyway, guess not possible with IL2 so dont bother.

Apparently if you record a track while using the ingame voice-comms the audio is recorded too...

Never seen a track that utilises this though.

Yup, that's true. At least it used to work, haven't tried it lately. It was a blast to watch tracks where me and my friends would flame each other. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I think one reason why we don't see more of this is because most people use TeamSpeak or Ventrilo since the in-game was a bit...flawed from start.
