These two things seem to have changed. There no longer seems to be the sound of bullets fizzing past close to you, eg, if you select an external view, nose on, and fire 'at yourself' you used to get this great sound. No longer.

Also has anyone noticed the different joystick feel in FB? Force feedback stick forces in IL-2 used to vary a lot according to the airspeed over the control surfaces, less so now. Now it seems more constant, less floppy when at low speed or stalling, less firm when at high speed.

Stick in use : MS Sidewinder FF2

Having flown a real Yak, the former representation seemed more accurate to me.

Yes, that's true...I suppose that's a part of the infamous sound bug...

As with the Force Feedback feeling, it may be because of the changes in aircraft FM. The patch does not contain updated .ffe files, these are all the way the same. I got the same joystick but everything seems to be fine as before.

I still get the Whizz of rounds passing by in the external view which you described.

I like how the cockpit now shakes when you are getting hammered....

Maybe something strange happening between FB and my set-up then, but the stick definitely feels different. The low-speed loosenes is less pronounced, and no 'nearly had you there' sound of rounds passing close by.
