Start a topic about Christianity, Obama, Irak, Afghanistan, conservatives, Darwin. As most of the members seem to be from the UK and US, succes guaranteed.
Just take a look at the Off Topic section... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

When I started a thread about the historical Jesus Christ it got deleted...

Anyway here's a good template:

''The P-51 can't be as bad as the one in the game, I can't out-turn Messerschmitts, also how come the 50 cals are so weak''

Or start a topic with the title: STOP the National Rifle Association! Murderers!
Just sit back, open a bottle of beer and enjoy the flaming comments. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

you tube films seem to be a hotbed.

Just get a few together an make a stupid conclusion.

You see any airplanes go down in these films?

Start a thread entitled "Allied planes absorb damage easily".....

I'm not sure the thread title makes that much difference. All it needs is some noob to make a remark about how the lack of torque effects makes the P-38 an effective dive bomber...

How long did that go on?

It`s possible to start a thread without looking for trouble subjects, but harder. Sometimes an innocent thread accidentally turns into a 30 pager, especially if the subject gets twisted. Which is not that hard here.

Of course, some people make apparently innocent threads, hoping that it`s just enough to start a fire while making them look like the innocent doe-eyed thread starter.

I've been saving it, but I have it on good authority that a Short Stirling could out turn any contemporary fighter except the Hawker Hurricane.

recipe:

1. compare germans with nazi party members
2. use offensive names of all nations you mention,
3. have no proof whatsoever
4. have loads of statements and no elaboration on why and what made you think as you do

5. post it in a flaming offensive langugee with horribel spelling.

I think any post here deriding the Whirlwind as possibly the most unattractive fighter plane produced by Britain in WWII would do the trick.

Really, to get to 50 pages, all you need is enough people who choose not to read the previous 10 pages, and then make a statement that's already been proven otherwise. That usually adds countless pages of repeated drivel which quickly gets a routine 20 pager over 50 pages.

How about a thread concerning the seemingly endless media fascination with Kim Kardashian and her ilk? Besides being very attractive what exactly does this woman do? Does she have any talents? Does she need any? Enquiring minds want to know.(I know its spelled wrong. Its a trashy newspapers tagline)

Oh if we are talking off topic and not il2 related, i can think of handful of titles that are sure to get the page counts high.

Watching TV makes you smarter:

Fw190 bar, Bf-109 elevator authority, P-51 wing shed, 150 octane fuel, Battle of Britain overclaiming, .50cal vs King Tiger, explosive IJAAF ammunition, porked Breda, porked Mk108 ROF,...I'm sure there are more.

Start a thread about a niche aircraft, say, the P-38.

Then find some way to point out how a technical flaw in the FW190 means that the P-38 is superior to the FW190.

Guaranteed 40 pages.

Anything that invites the elite arch rivals, e.g., lowflyer vs. kurfurst, gibbage vs. kettenhunde into the same thread is a winner (unless the moderators lock it). And it's enjoyable to read and educating too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Then there are the core controvertial IL-2 topics, such as mods, difficulty settings, various server rules
Examples:

"IL-2 mods destroyed the game's future, don't you agree?!"

"I am proud of being a full real flyer, everyone else sucks!!!!111!!!!"

"trackkir, peddels are cheets BAN THEM for equal game play"

"What type of icons do you like and why?"

"Offline players are more important than the few online players"

Althogh in my view, the airplane on conveyor belt was excellent catch. Everyone thought it was an easy questions and fought like a lion to deny later that he was wrong... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif My best experience on UBI forums, locked 3 times before the fire flamed out.

Myall time fave fire threads were always the dumb 50 cal ones.

"0.50s cut battleships in half!"

and

"0.50s flipped over tanks and destroyed them!"

All provided with guncam that actually showed nothing of the kind. Oh the days of unabridged fun we had with those!

I's going to be hard to beat the Dirty Focker

But I'd say what you have here will net you a page or more even yet.

Not sure why it's important.

Most really good informative threads, last no more than two pages.

Anything much longer gets allot of chaff in it, and forces you to read crap to glean out the good anyway.
