Battle of Britain: Storm of War

or

Storms of War: Battle of Britain

Allow me to expand.

Each bit's a storm, ie., the Battle of Britain: Crumpets of Destiny, Barbarossa: Go East Young Man, blah de blah would be an individual storm within The Storms of War series.

So...should it not be Storms of War: Battle of Britain?

Yes? No? Don't care?

Your thoughts?

I vote for the latter actually.

The phrase "Crumpets of Destiny" cracks me up.

Even the "stormS" idea aside, I like "Storm of War: BoB" better than "BoB: Storm of War".

More likely it will be Storm of War: "insert theater here" Storm of War is name of the series. BOB is just first step into it.

Are they actually going to use "Storm of War"? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I always thought it was a joke like "I have proofs" or "Two weeks, be sure". SoW sounds like something a non-native English speaker might say.

Besides, even if it were correct, I don't think it suits or describes the BoB.

Storm of War describes the series not BOB in particular.

Storm of War "Battle of Britain"
Storm of War "The Med"
Storm of War "The Eastern Front"
Storm of War "The Pacific"
Storm of War "The Western Bombing Campaign"
Storm of War "The Western Front"
Storm of War "The Fying Tigers"

It's hardly Shakespeare, but the thrust here is marketing: you could conceivably include every specialty market out there. For example,

Storm Of War: Enforcing the Neutrality

for the Swiss, with Moranes, Bf 109Es and G-6s with those spiffy red striped skins battling both sides when they spill over into Swiss airspace (hey, it's a quick 20 euros for Ubi, don't knock it) with the aim of forcing the combatants down to Geneva where their consulates can be forced to pay exorbitant hotel and restaurant fees until your victims are repatriated...

The possibilities are endless!

cheers

BATTLE OVER BRITAIN would have been direct, to the point, and more original than BOB. Of course Ubi will probably lobby for something like DARK LORD: CATACOMBS OF DOOM with a Messerschmitt flown by an orc with blood red teeth on the box chased by a Spitfire flown by a buff-but-stacked wench wearing some kind of weird mix of Victorian fairy costume and bondage gear. On the ground there will be Hugh Dowding in a wizard get-up throwing spells at thousands of dragon-shaped Heinkels while Hermann Goring stares pop-eyed in a lavender tutu with rouge.
