What exactly were you thinking when you programmed your rear gunners to be able to execute pk's whilst pulling 9g.

Fair enough, if you park behind, and even in a gentle turn, but 9g? I can only assume that you'd had a bit to much vodka, say about 40 gallons.

grrrrrrrrr.

Hmmm, maybe his finger slipped and the gun went loose on its own... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif
Or it was the Terminator which traveled back in time a bit too far by accident... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

How you doing FruitBat http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif?

Are you attacking bombers in the 190, yes? When I do that I get above them by about 700/1000m. When I am directly above them I roll over and fall on them, aiming for the wing root or engine. Because I am directly above them they can't elevate their guns high enough to hit me, and by the time I go past them I am going too fast for them to hit me. I don't think I've been PKed since adopting that tactic.

When I'm attacking IL2s I go at them from below and behind, keeping the IL2s tail between me and the gunner. By doing that you can slow right down and hammer the engine compartment. If the IL2 starts avoiding action and turning I just move on to the next one in the formation.

Works the other way around. They weren't programmed to do that. They weren't not programed to do that.

Absolutely. They are not deliberaly over-modelled. Their shortcomings are under-modelled, and the explanation is rather connected to lack of CPU power for this modelling, than vodka.

Sure, annoying, but in the same way, AI pilots who survive diving spirals which black out human pilots are no special feast either.

^ That is a great explanation for those who do not understand about programming.

Its far easier to make a super human bot that can kill everything instantly, than to program in the flaws of a human being.

Making a beliveable AI is extrememly difficult.

lol, i was just ranting, i know the shortcomings etc, been playing since the original.

Liverpool had just lost, and i'd just been flying a dcg campagin normandy 42 in a spit. Been escorting bombers for a good 3/4 of an hour when my flight dived down to attack bf110's, went down to rescue one of the idiots only to be pk'd by the rear gunner of a 110 tightly banking to attack said idiot. I knew i shouldn't of bothered, but all my squadron keep dying as it is.

Felt like a rant.

Hi klemm, how you doing, we'll have to have another flight online soon, should have some free time soon!!

Hi foxyboy, i'm good http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif.

Edit

Agree with Xiola, that is a good explanation rnzoli.

Anyway, if they don't fix it in BoB, the Defiant is gonna be the finest secret weapon of war.

A human flyable Defiant with the convergence/elevation of the turret guns set to 700 meters will be the sniping king of the game.
