Winter getting you down? Need a tropical holiday? This campaign has surf, sun , booze and food...all the ingredients for a good vacation.....

Cut-off behind enemy lines, you and your band of merry men try to keep the good
fight going up against the empire of Japan with limited supplies and maintence skills and a Beaufighter.

It's a paradise that you have to fight to keep.

Contains a bit of everything, intercept, ground-attack, anti-ship and fighter sorties.

Missions range in difficulty from near-impossible to easy, but the key is to make it "home" each time with your aircraft intact.

This campaign is tons-o-fun! Right from the first mission you will realize this is a bit different. Foul weather, no fuel and you're not sure where you are........

The base you work from is truly a work of art. IMO Dubbo's always been a master at "bringing the mission to life", but this nearly made my jaw drop.

There's a wide varity of missions from simple recon to high tension ship attacks in foul weather.
The best part is just returning to base without crashing (sometimes difficult in itself) is all that's really required. This makes it perfect for a new person to the game. No complex objectives to meet, no dealing with a sloppy AI that bolloxes up the mission.

I played it "Full Real" and navigation is a (manageable) challenge. There are only two waypoints (takeoff and one a few klicks away) and it's up to you to find your way around which makes it good for those dipping their beaks into the more difficult settings. If you've never flown "Full Real" and are wondering what the hoopla is all about, this is the perfect entry into 'total immersion'.

It's relatively short with an extremely challanging final mission, perfect for a rainy afternoon/weekend.

I heartily recommend this to everyone. Good job Dubbo!

Looks like fun...

Thanks for putting it together.

Look forward to trying it when I get home in a couple of weeks.

If this is half as good as the P-38 campaigns, this should be a blast.

Dammit!! Who left that lousy broken B25 laying in the runway??

I like it, I actually wobbled into the field and was congratulating myself for an amazing survival when I hit the remains of the B25.

That airfield looks a bit used too.

One mission in, this is gonna be good.

Thanks.

Way cool! I gotta ask you this: how many tries did it take you to get the A-20 cut-scene right? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

That A-20 cut scene took me about 15-20 tries. Couldn't damage myself because the guns on the A-20 won't hit anything that smokes....so I had to get shot at.........and I mean that was just dressing the Havoc, the landing took another 8-10 goes... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Just finished it, wow, EXCELLENT campaign!
The story-telling is great! Very immersive campaign, especially when played on the recommended FullReal settings.

The only comment I have is the explosions at the airfield each time the mission starts, so all the stuff is destroyed. I thought there was a way around that by messing with the mission start-times but I'm not sure.

Thanks for a fun campaign!

I tried just about everything to avoid those explosions but it was either that or no wreckage. Until we can wreck parked aircraft within the FMB.......

Glad you liked it though. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Thanks

This is a really interesting little campaign (11 missions). You should give it a go. Dubbo put in one mission where you chase down a large group of Vals returning to their carriers after a strike. I got 14 of them!

This is a shameless bump btw.

In my best Outback oz accent..." You call that a bump?" "This is a bump"

The only thing I don't like is that on occasion I have to shut off and return to the real world. Been happening far to often of late.
